He still has it, his email is Dysonsoul@aol.com

Look down the left of the screen shots, thats what you have to type in to get the smiley/emoticon. Emoji keyboard doesn't always work on some forums.
  3. You would think they would both break going by the laws of physics or something? The other must have been very flexible.

I presume you mean tenner? I'd buy it all day long at a tenner. Ten quid records are the best kind. It's not all about how much you can spend on a record which is what many don't seem to get!

Just because someone's taste is different to yours it doesn't mean they lack taste. If we all had the same taste it would be boring. The diverse taste in music held by those on this scene are what makes it so interesting. And as for the last bit, half the top DJ's in the country don't dance including the two I consider to be the best.

It failed because of the lack of numbers, nothing to do with the music which didn't break any mould. My knowledge is nothing compared to plenty on this scene and no one knows everything Phil but the majority of the records had been around and been played for years, very little groundbreaking or breaking the mould music so lets dispel the myth once and for all, simply good uptempo dancers as you say which is hardly something new on this scene of over 40 years. If they are new to you fine, but that wouldn't be hard after missing out on many years would it? But this isn't about Burnley, it's about you coming on here and constantly knocking what others are doing, when as Cliff said you don't go past your front door, it's all you seem to do at times. Why not come on here and give a few examples of lesser known records that are not scraping the barrel? The record in question is played by some of the biggest name DJ's on the scene, some of those you trumpet above, they aren't DJ's to play a record simply because it costs several thousand pounds. If you don't like it fine, plenty of big money records I don't like. I would agree Cliff is a great DJ who does play good lesser known stuff, regardless of the price as was Karl. But Karl was hardly just a Burnley DJ, he was doing his thing all over the country so he wasn't what you would call exclusive.

And that failed. The majority of the records at your all-nighter were not new, they'd been around years. You seem to do nothing but knock the scene since you packed it in.
  8. If there was two records in the package, was the other broken?
  9. No refund if you ask me, not until he has claimed via the post office, I presume it is insured or the cost of first class covers it. If he gets compo both quids in.
  10. Might have for some, I've supplied a fair bit of info, scans of flyers and some answers to questions this week.
  11. How can you say that when you haven't even read it? It''s not even published yet.
  12. I think it is being edited now, well thats the message I get when I e-mail Elaine They are looking for material for the book, I spent last weekend scanning flyers and patches from the 80's and early 90's, over 80!! I really should get a life
  13. I found one called contact special or something like that, liquid glue, from an art shop. It comes with a brush and you sorta paint it on, nice thin even coat.
  14. Sad sad news. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer bloke. R.I.P. Mick.
  15. yep you'll have heard it at Lifeline for a good few years now
  16. Phil (Quinvy) had bids of £675 two years ago on here so someone got a bargain.
  17. Have to agree with what said, it ain't very good. £75 is too much IMO. I would have thought £40 if it wasn't for the fuss surrounding the auction price. One went through ebay unsold not so long ago listed at £90. Look on popsike/collectors frenzy and in many cases it struggles into double figures.
  18. Guy's ex Taylor Brooks and the Emperors cover up from the Blackburn Tony's Empress days, 87ish.
  19. Tough one I guess Phil, don't see too often, no real demand, just me and you playing it I think
  20. It should be left Kev irrespective whether deal done or not. It would at least be a guide price for someone doing a search.
  21. It is ok someone saying it isn't in the guidelines but the site, including sales is all about information. What is the point in deleting it? What a record has sold for, cash, is probably one of the best points of reference for anyone interested in buying, selling and collecting rare soul.
  22. Last Barons I saw was £150 I think, don't see it too often when compared with other more common records that command the same sort of price.
  23. Can we not leave the details of the sale there instead of deleting? Past sales are a great source of information, especially for those thinking of selling or buying the same?
  24. You won regret this one Jock, tis a great book IMO. You do need a coffee table though to read it as it is too big and heavy to hold
