Promatics - Think I'm Gonna Let Go - Brown Door
Not sure if I listed the slower take for Andy in one of his lists, he has had both for sale, think one went for a £1000 or thereabouts if I remember rightly.

Over Rated Records
Not only is that one of the most over rated records of all times, for me it has to be one of the worst, awful record. Our lass loves it and Nicola gave her a boot of it........I'm ashamed to have it on my shelves

Ben E King & Gerri Granger Acetates
I remember the article Rob, if I knew for certain what it was in I would know where to look. I seen to remember something about the Ben E King in the sleeve notes for the cd it is on.

The Importance Of Melba Moore's The Magic Touch
Didn't even know Melba was performing. Same for several artists this year. The promotion of these acts isn't very good IMO. If anyone knows of any act give me a shout and I can put something up in the article section.

The Importance Of Melba Moore's The Magic Touch
Suspicion was earlier, 1982, but it had a big influence as did many of the Motown that turned up at the same time.

Northernsoul Fisticuffs
we've had very little trouble at Lifeline, one incident at Sheridans which was quickly dealt with and we had one being a nuisance on the dance floor with the girls some months back and he was removed. I spend much of the night watching from the balcony, Mick and Andy never far away and we have at least three security on duty.

Wilton Ballroon All-Nighters To End in 2013
Really sad to hear this news although it doesn't come so much as a surprise. It has been a big part of my social life and I have had the privilege of DJing there a few times and I will miss the place greatly. Modern life has got in the way and Fridays don't lend well to a night for an all-nighter. Family, a seven day working week now and the large amounts of events, even local on the same night haven't helped. But nothing lasts forever so all that is left to do is make sure the Wilton goes out with a bang. This Friday could see the last all-nighter at the Ballroom so please help see it out in style, the same for Darrow Fletcher...lets see a full house. A big shout and much respect for Mouse, Dave and not forgetting Chris for what I hope will be 20 years of the Wilton All-nighter. Great people, great venue, great music and some great times.

Promatics - Think I'm Gonna Let Go - Brown Door
Thank you. High praise indeed considering the quality of your podcasts. Must stress they aren't my records rather a showcase of what has gone before at Lifeline. The podcasts were done to help promote the nighter and introduce some more obscure records to the mainstream soulie.

I was of course referring to the all-nighters. It from what I remember didn't take long to go big and every man and his dog wanting a copy. Thats the power of a handful of top jocks having a record. Not like today when most top records are in the hands of just one, maybe two DJ's and take years to break.

He found 20 odd and they went to three dealers as far as I'm aware. Hardly being duped when a dealer offers a small quantity to UK dealers and he agrees a price is it? It would be around 2003/4 if memory serves me correctly, early days of Lifeline time wise.

Promatics - Think I'm Gonna Let Go - Brown Door

Promatics - Think I'm Gonna Let Go - Brown Door
No it was Andy mate. I did have a mix up on the old Lifeline site of both takes, I'll see if I can find it later.

Thank you Dave If anyone wishes to submit something i can lay it out for you, add any pictures, sound-files etc so nothing to worry about on that score. It will be in your own name too, not mine.

Very rare, £750? maybe more? two takes, fast and slow, which one you got? Both rare mind, slower one maybe bit rarer. Fantastic record, one of my fave 70's tracks.
