  1. Blatant sales plug removed and an off topic post.
  2. Sure Cecil said elsewhere on here that when The Group laid the track down the vocal just wasn't good enough. Cecil then laid his vocal down and that is what they went with hence the "Featuring Cecil Washington."
  3. Yes but that doesn't make him part of the group and he only sang part of the harmony, not the lead. I doubt he is in any group photos?
  4. Do you have the permission of Nolan Porter and Stone Foundation and the 100 Club to sell this. I see you use bootleg in the opening lines.
  5. Was there really any need for such a sarcastic post? If you don't like the post ignore it or post a counter in a reasoned manner, petty comments like this don't do anyone any good. And you wonder why some no longer bother.
  6. Cecil wasn't in Soul Incorporated either, he simply helped out on the track.....
  7. I can't believe anyone would have believed it is Cecil singing lead, he sounds white and nothing like Cecil. As Cecil himself said he is part of the harmony. I guess Flynny does deserve credit to bringing it to a new audience but it was massive some ten years earlier, give or take a year or two.
  8. Didn't Gasher get one same time as Rob Marriott? Three came over to Tim Brown from I presume Martin Koppell, 1992.
  9. Looks that way pal.

  17. I've known Luckey or been in contact for some time, long before most found out he was on Facebook. He offered me some a long time ago. He said then he was down to his last 6 copies and he wanted $2000 apiece then. I never did ask how many he did have.
  18. So you keep saying. We all have different tastes.
  19. I rarely get the time to get the 45's out Brett, sat gathering dust!
  20. One of the funniest stories I've read
  21. I though it might be, I can't think of another from Darlo.
  22. If it is a load of b*ll*cks then go and read something else. No need to come on here and come out with crap like your opening comment.
  23. I've already said they come from Luckey Davis himself. So no issues really with licensing etc. They only issue is what is being asked for them. He offered some to me a while back, said he had 6 left after selling 10 to someone in France. I never saw what one looked like back then as I didn't follow up on the offer. He want a fair bit for each copy. Who is the seller from Darlington in the ebay listing? The ebay listing btw says "SPECIAL PROMO COPIES ISSUED BY MR LUCKY AKA LUCKEY JAMAL DAVIS".
  24. Mike if I had sufferd in a deal, i.e. didn't get what I paid for or wasn't as described I would say something and I wouldn't give a t*ss how wonderful they are, that is no excuse for bad business. But I would do all I could to sort with the seller before going public on here and I would also leave a negative in feedback. If I'd paid £60 for a record described as ex+ but suffered with cue burn AND had a hairline crack I definitely would sort it with the seller. I'd definitely let everyone know as well.
