  1. its a better record
  2. I can hear him Marc, but you wouldn't know from Adam who it was if Cecil hadn't said he comes in there. You said as there is no Cecil in the photograph it can''t be them (referring to the Soul, Inc photo), I'm saying you won't find a photo of them with him in as he wasn't part of the group, he simply helped with harmony whilst arranging the record in the studio as have many arrangers and producers before him. Doesn't make it a Cecil Washington record, that does the group a disservice, IMO of course....of to listen to something decent to get this out of my head now.
  3. I'll give you first two, as for singing there's a few singing harmony and not sure how you can tell who is who let alone distinguish Cecil's voice.
  4. Even though he isn't necessarily a member of the group?
  5. I have the ion and I used it from the mains and it still recorded slow. I simply have PC connected to my hifi set up.
  6. No matter how anyone dresses this up that's probably all it should be John. And when Luckey tries do another 45 no one will trust him. He would have been far better selling all he'd got (which wasn't just a few either) for a reasonable price and keeping the trust of buyers. He has sent the letter of authenticity all over the world.
  7. After just a few hours sleep since Friday I am too tired to keep getting involved in personal petty spats, either contribute the titles of Rare Records as that's what the topic is about or take it top PM's. Either way give it a rest.
  8. Look it's a bank holiday knockabout topic simply wanting suggestions for the top 500 rarest records, not if they are sh*ite or whatever. Just for once can we have a discussion with out descending into the usual pointless arguments.
  9. Blatant sales plug removed and an off topic post.
  10. Sure Cecil said elsewhere on here that when The Group laid the track down the vocal just wasn't good enough. Cecil then laid his vocal down and that is what they went with hence the "Featuring Cecil Washington."
  11. Yes but that doesn't make him part of the group and he only sang part of the harmony, not the lead. I doubt he is in any group photos?
  12. Do you have the permission of Nolan Porter and Stone Foundation and the 100 Club to sell this. I see you use bootleg in the opening lines.
  13. Was there really any need for such a sarcastic post? If you don't like the post ignore it or post a counter in a reasoned manner, petty comments like this don't do anyone any good. And you wonder why some no longer bother.
  14. Cecil wasn't in Soul Incorporated either, he simply helped out on the track.....
  15. I can't believe anyone would have believed it is Cecil singing lead, he sounds white and nothing like Cecil. As Cecil himself said he is part of the harmony. I guess Flynny does deserve credit to bringing it to a new audience but it was massive some ten years earlier, give or take a year or two.
  16. Didn't Gasher get one same time as Rob Marriott? Three came over to Tim Brown from I presume Martin Koppell, 1992.
  17. Looks that way pal.

  20. no need for two topics really, if need to bring attention to the previous one then simply make a reply. Thanks.
