  1. is it more central Mark, easy walking distance of train station etc?
  2. George Lemons is often ridiculed but it rams the dance floor every time it is played, always has done. Maybe it is the records failings that make it so appealing? Maybe dancers just don't care what anoraks think
  3. What I don't understand is there is no room for anything remotely down tempo these days.......or is that just Terry? So why are records like this fetching so much money, are they DJ's or simply collectors? Back then it would probably have been more acceptable although '92/'93was when IMO the scene started to regress back to an oldies mentality.
  4. I have no issues at all and am more than happy to play a Kent Anniversary 45 of an unissued track. Melba Moore is always in my playbox.
  5. I have to agree with you about the Parliaments, as you say Northern Soul perfection!
  6. Ridiculous price really. There's been as few on here recently, one last week for I think £75, week or two before for £120. Still if someone daft enough to pay it......
  7. Arthurs middle name begins with "H". Dunno what full name is though.
  8. The Dynamites web site https://www.thedynamites.net/live/
  9. Yep, just make more work for us If people just followed the guidelines that, lets admit, they do know about, then it would be easier all round.
  10. Just giving this a kick as some still posting sold or on hold rather than editing the original post. You all know the score and how it works in sales so please follow the guidelines. Thank you.
  11. Play nicely together boys and girls. I know it is an emotive subject but lets not ruin it foreveryone by having slanging matches. I do have to agree with one or two or the comments that once again we have another negative topic about either the music or the scene. Is there nothing positire or good out there to discuss? It would as well like Jock says be nice if you gave a reason for your replies and stimulate debate or discussion rather than say "this or that is sh*te".
  12. Hi Darren, can you simply amend the original posting and cut the "sold" posts please. for allwho use sales the guidelines... Mike's request to drop such posts from few days ago.....

  15. The Oma Heard is on one of the Complete Motown Singles Cd releases. Just been reading a review of this by Pete Lawson in one of his mags.

Cheers for that. They even do a kindle edition so even better, over half the price of a hardback as well.
  17. I've no doubt seen it Shute but just can't remember seeing it. Was it done same time as FW and Suspicion on the lookalike Soul labels?
  18. I would have thought around £100, maybe a it more. Issued with both "Can" or "Can't" in the title. The one's with "Can" have demo on the label, tink most of those I've seen with "Can't" don't.
  19. It would probably be cheaper to get a cut done Matt?
  20. If you go to the Flickr page, the dates and who is in the man shot of each photo is there. If anyone recognises anyone let me know and I'll add their names to the info.
  21. I'd be surprised if it was a secret, the photo was maybe the proof needed? They should behave anyway
  22. then they deserve to be photographed and have it widely distributed
