  5. Is it not true that it is only in recent years though that countries like Belgium and Holland have brought their laws into line with that of the country of origin? I was told many a bootleg done over there because of the 25 years and into public domain.

  7. Sussed some of them Paul. Lesser Tipton is Sebastian Williams Home Town Boy and The Four Shades is Otis Jackson & Compromisers on C&F. Trying to work out what the Innocent Bystanders Breaking Out is?
  8. He might have played them but they weren't his discoveries as ar as I'm aware. Little Ron was Gary Rushbrooke's Simms Twins cover up, Vondells was Garybas well. Gordon Keith was Dave Withers and I think late Wigan first.
  9. I doubt almost anyone knows what two major collectors have got never mind one major collector? Not to mention all those who are not part of or don't even no why northern soul is.

  13. Cheers guys it is Sebastian Williams Home Town Boy, long time since I heard it as well.
  14. I think we all be affected one way or another by this terrible disease. As Kitch says this isn't about the Golf or the lads have a jolly for the day but about raising some much needed funds for a great cause so please help with whatever you can give. MacMillan have been a great source of support and care for those afflicted by cancer and for their families and need all the funds and support they can get. Best of luck boys.
  15. Still trying to identify this Guy spoon from Stafford as well... Al Kent Orchestra - One Step Beyond Love. Is it the backing to something I'm not getting? Guy can't remember either!!
  16. Old Keb spin from Stafford covered up as Lester Tipton - I'm Gonna Stay. Anyone tell me who it is? https://soundcloud.com/chalkster/lester-tipton-im-gonna-stay
  17. Another keb cover up I'm trying to suss.... Lester Tipton - I'm Gonna Stay or I Want To Stay It is the last track on this mix cloud upload https://www.mixcloud.com/Chalkster/stafford-top-of-the-world-2nd-november-1985-part-1/
  18. He was still obviously DJing with 60's newies in 85 and 86, Stafford and everywhere in-between. Stafford shut February 1986 so he could have had a brief fling with the modern after Stafford but he was soon back with 60's newies and bought quite a few of Jimmy Wensiora's collection. He retired again from 60's newies, outside of London at least December 1987. His last set outside of London for the 60's was at the Winding Wheel and his last three tracks were The Charmaines, Boss 4 and JD Bryant.

  21. and have you seen the buggy now its laden with booze......
  22. Jock's just heard it is last orders at the 19th hole......
  23. Lot of good points in there Paul and a lot of truth. Me I just want to listen to good records whatever the price, preferably something different with some good quality oldies thrown in.
  24. How do you know he promoter hasn't booked he DJ to play unknowns? I've seen DJs bomb, happened myself, cause he promote had asked us to do a particular set yet it wasn't right for the paying customers. That's the fault of he promoter surely. I've also DJ'ed at venues clearly advertised as rare, lesser known, semi known etc etc only to be asked for classics. I suppose that is the fault of he DJ as well? Maybe we should just put a juke box in each venue?
