  1. Hi mate, I've dropped you a PM.
  2. it ain't working mate, the feed keeps dropping and it says not accepting any more listeners, sounds like they've used up their bandwidth or whatever.
  3. I've been trying, I heard about 5 minutes then the feed dropped, too many listening so given up trying.
  4. Motor City Runners. Watch Your Step The instrumental to the unissued Mike Valvano vocal. Both brief Stafford spins for Guy, he must have had the acetate. Has the Motor City Runners instrumental appeared on any cd? Does anyone have the Charly LP it came out on, Detroit City Magic Vol 2?
  5. Must be thinking of another record then Ian Sure I read it was about around 1970 or just after, certainly before Wigan. Sure someone like Steve Smith will know?
  6. Chalky commented on Steve G's article in News Archives
Can only echo the above sentiments. Had a great time when Mick, Andy and myself went to dinner with Lou and don Gardner. Had a great time with him at the 100 Club about ten years ago as well. Smashing bloke and nothing too much trouble for him. Rest in peace Lou. Chalky
  7. Where is Ian Dewhirst? Sure he said he had this before Wigan?
  8. Yes Clarkie for sure. Think he plays Bobby Rich "Girl Somewhere". Part three is up, will upload the other three as time allows.
  9. I presume you've checked Chicago Soul by Robert Pruter but just in case I have and can't see any reference to it, not in the index or in the page or two at the front about recording studios. Robert Pruter does say Chicago in the 60's was the era of the in house studios.

  11. Mike was right about the LP, bit clearer scan of the cover.
  12. I remember hearing it during some of his sets.
  13. He did or still has, one or t'other. Wasn't another there was another JB Willingham track as well Rob had, same as summit else that escapes me right now, Sam Fletcher?
  14. Think I'm wasting my time and effort at times. Off topic post removed. Stick to the Tomangoes please.
  15. Can we leave the boot vs. original out of this topic please unless talking about the Tomangoes. There are umpteen topics to talk about ovo vs. boots.
  16. Is the UK in Europe, really? Of course I know where it is but by Europe I meant mainland Europe and I think you know exactly what I meat. To be honest I wish we were out of the EU but that is another argument. I know there is bad everywhere but i restrict most of my buying to trusted or known sources/dealers/sellers etc etc. I buy very little from Europe (that place over the Channel) unless I either know the seller or someone I trust can vouch for them. There are plenty of Europeans I do trust but there are many to be avoided. As you say it could possibly have been worded better. Back on topic. If you can vouch for the seller that is all that needs to be said in this case?
  17. For those who might be interested I've started to upload to mixcloud a recording I made of the night at the 100 Club in October 1987. There are three tapes so 6 45 minute recordings. Any help with track listing appreciated as I haven't had time to sit and listen to them 6t's 100 Club All-nighter October 1987 Part 1 6t's 100 Club All-nighter October 1987 Part 2
  18. Ey up Roy. Would you be able to tell if the look-a-like boots are intact a boot from a video camera. Can you tell just peering over the decks whilst it is spinning round? There is an original up for sale on here btw.
  19. 1st track is an acetate recording by JB Willingham.
  20. It was on a 1973 LP release as well.
  21. From what I can see it only came out on a 1967 Liberty LP.
  22. Anyone put the details to these two tacks, they are bugging me now! https://soundcloud.com/chalkster/two-unknown-tracks
  23. And? So I dont trust many from Europe I don't know, my choice. Most of what I buy are from the UK nowadays.
