Used to be a spin for Guy years back and I've tried it too but the intro at about 50 seconds is juts to long. Tis a great track though. What is it worth these days?

If you don't want to read what others post then don't, stop complaining, it is a forum for discussion. The DJ's with no imagination was one of the reasons given, i.e. DJ's with no imagination cherry picking others plays, so some DJ's won't post playlists. I haven't seen or read anything which isn't in some way to do with the topic.

To be fair Kev i think people were just asking why there was a lack of them and others have given various reasons. To be honest not one playlist has made me decide to go to a particular venue. I know the reputation of most DJ's and promoters via either listening and attending or word of mouth. If I have time I read the playlists. I rarely post one as I don't generally have the time... or the memory

It might be earlier than '66 but I wouldn't go as far back as the 50's.

Just giving this a bump for those getting into work and fancy something to listen too. Excellent show with some great anecdotes and tales of Gilly's trips and the friendships he made.

I hope they do the Vibrations justice and let them do a proper set, not just two of their most popular tracks three times.

Sure there has been a picture and some info about them, could have been from Jeff. Just found this quote by him about them...

The guy was selling he DC agency shots, he did sell some of them but the remainder were bought job lot, I got scans of every one. The same seller then started selling Popsies collection but was asking too much for many of them.

They were withdrawn from eBay and bought job lot by two Chicago (?) collectors I think.

Gilly just telling a story about james Lately on Dean's show. James apparently went to school with Berry Gordy. Gordy was a tough little cookie, boxer an all that but James gave him a good hiding

it is on cdbaby or another site like that.....

I'm sure Gilly told me some years ago, we were travelling somewhere, and sure he said he'd been round to James Lately's house/mothers with either Popcorn or Dave Hamilton but he couldn't get past James' mother.

There is a topic about Dena Barnes on here. Tim did track her down and pete Smith had some sort of contact too I think.
