Steve's starts off with JM's auction, there is another about the criteria regarding records for auction. Ah well.......

Isn't this the same topic as Steve's" Anarchy" topic? Seems to be two or three topics moan ing about the price of records?
  3. Used to love the place in the early years. Fantastic record bar, punters etc. Musically it was a step backwards after what had gone before but the crack more than made up for it.
  4. Mark III - Should I Believe You. Covered up at Stafford by Guy as the Prophonics. Obviously the same label but doesn't fit in with the numbering system in R&B Indies, intact I can't see it in R&B Indies.
  5. Here's another piece from Heey Baby, it was too late for inclusion in the book.....
  6. You should be able to read this, it is issue three converted to PDF by Dave Mackey on RSF a few years ago. Blue & Soul 3.pdf
  7. Gilly can you send me the show? I can upload it for other to hear?
  8. Topic closed for the time being. One post removed. John I'm sure Mike will reply with the site's position on this.
  9. topic moved to sales....If you wish to discuss the merits or the price of a record then LATB is fine but leave out the sales pitch.
  10. Thanks Andy for the story behind them and for the scans.
  11. I have the show in my iTunes but I couldn't even pick the stream up through that.
  12. If someone has download this and can let me have a copy I can upload for others to listen to, I've not heard it either as the feed was acting up so would appreciate it uploading somewhere.
  13. Have you any evidence that NS fans don't buy CDs? Or are you just beng mischievous and stirring it? I know many who buy CDs. But that's itsnt the point here, the original question was about the record, it's rarity and price.
  14. It is a record that has suffered with its own rarity. Butch tried it since he got one and never really too off, bit like Phil's experience. Great track though.
  15. I often wonder why pepole use the term holy grail, surely if something is so rare it doesn't need the hype, it will sell itself in this market. If a term like that has to be used it would have to be a record where just the odd copy is known about and not just a popular scene record, IMO of course.
  16. If I get a new 45 box it will be one of those Magma type ones on a trolley, getting too old to carry one around, me arms were dropping off by the time I got to the venue in Skeggy from the hotel other month
  17. Hi mate, I've dropped you a PM.
  18. it ain't working mate, the feed keeps dropping and it says not accepting any more listeners, sounds like they've used up their bandwidth or whatever.
  19. I've been trying, I heard about 5 minutes then the feed dropped, too many listening so given up trying.
  20. Motor City Runners. Watch Your Step The instrumental to the unissued Mike Valvano vocal. Both brief Stafford spins for Guy, he must have had the acetate. Has the Motor City Runners instrumental appeared on any cd? Does anyone have the Charly LP it came out on, Detroit City Magic Vol 2?
  21. Must be thinking of another record then Ian Sure I read it was about around 1970 or just after, certainly before Wigan. Sure someone like Steve Smith will know?
  22. Chalky commented on Steve G's article in Source Archives
Can only echo the above sentiments. Had a great time when Mick, Andy and myself went to dinner with Lou and don Gardner. Had a great time with him at the 100 Club about ten years ago as well. Smashing bloke and nothing too much trouble for him. Rest in peace Lou. Chalky
