  1. I agree there is little you can do except stop him plugging his wares through here. I have emailed him via his website and still no response. I was the same, ordered that day. I did message him and question the postage which he said was good.
  2. Seriously think @Brewerytownbeats should have his selling activities restricted on here until he gets his house in order.
  3. Both. I ordered my copy back in July
  4. They also discovered between them some of the greatest Northern too. The years 74, 75 & 76 featured some of the best the scene had to offer. Colin has a blog with a pretty large list of what he played.
  5. This guy has been nothing but hassle for buyers the last couple of sales of his. I know not everyone lives on the internet but you would think a business would answer messages and emails of which I have sent both.
  6. I've messaged him through here a couple of days ago but had no reply. I ordered not long after the plug on here and still waiting for my copy. Like Ken I thought the saga surrounding the Nurons couldn't happen again!
  7. Cleveland, Ohio group. Think the black label looks better

  9. Returning to the studio is Melton Mowbray's finest and one of the scene's most renown dealers in everything vinyl and Djs John Manship
  10. It’s not northern soul but an interpretation of northern soul tracks. They were nothing like the original. As I said, whilst excellent musician ship from the orchestra it was cold, soul less, lacking all the drive, enthusiasm and emotion of the originals. Much of “our” music isn’t meant for an orchestra. I’m on a forum that appreciates and celebrates northern soul, not imitation, and vocally it was a poor imitation and neither you nor anyone else will convince me any differently.
  11. Martha rarely been good singer IMO. Topic turning into a if buts and maybes. Who knows what the original artists would be like? I’ve seen videos recently of Judy Street and she was crap. But this is about the performance on the night of the artists chosen. Some were trying to hard to sound black IMO. By and large though IMO they were all very average and not remotely soulful, mind you half the tracks were pop anyway.
  12. Well you seem to be pontificating about country music. The country you describe is not the country music I listened to when my dad was alive. He was as much into country then as I am into soul music. There is an awful lot of soulful country music out there.
  13. I’ve seen plenty over the years who could still deliver vocally, I’ve seen some who can’t as well, Martha Reeves for one.
  14. We almost all recognise musical quality. The orchestra was excellent as you would expect, they are world class musicians after all. But the performance was cold and lacking everything we expect from the original. As for flawed vocals you only had to listen to those on the proms. They were distinctly average at best but I didn’t expect anything less.
  15. Thanks for posting Graham
  16. Have sent you the relevant page Eddie
  17. Behave what has she got to do with the proms? I have no interest in watching her look at me videos. If you are 60 and has been around you would have seen some great dancers in the past......
  18. The orchestra was excellent but I expected nothing less, they are world class musicians after all. But the drive, energy and passion was missing, soulless if you like. The singers were very average at best, the one who did MVPs (Turning My Heartbeat Up), Dobie Gray & Landslide, he was worse than average, thought he was pretty poor. Some of you are easily pleased.
  19. He mentions the Adlibs in the interview I posted the link to....
  20. Not Northern? So the Cartsairs etc isn't Northern either then?
  21. They only had look at some of the songs performed in the proms to find some pop
  22. There is far more to Tavares than their pop hits, some great 70s soul
