  1. No problem John, didn't have PG 5 to hand though I assumed as you still sell it I would have though info ok to quote?
  2. I don't remember no house there either.

Summer Breeze wanted 12 inch on Wea (think that is the first issue US) stand to be corrected. Not expensive so no daft prices No Gemm links either, been there already.
  4. Shades Of Soul was also the best for me. Bought most of the mags around the scene since the mid 80's but unfortunately the internet hs seen them off. Still buy Soul up North and In The Basement (which sadly will be no more soon). Anyone got any Midnight (Midnite) Express spare?
  5. according to JM guide the original has 62771 with two small dimples in the deadwax. Vinyl with moulded green label with silver writing and the label is flat with little or no ridge. Boots had P.B. signed in run out. Also boots with light blue and dark blue labels pressed in styrene.
  6. https://www.popsike.com/salvadors-stick-by-me-baby-wise-worldnorthern-soul/140143904441.html the above link is for the boot and another https://www.popsike.com/THE-SALVADORS-STICK-BY-MEBABY-WANNA-DANCEWISE-WORLD/130392478743.html the scan doesn't appear to be the greatest on the one we are talking about.
  7. The ebay one looks like the boot without checking. Two presses of the original both deep shade of green although both slightly different shades, think they are St Louis and Chicago pressed, the former the rarer. The ebay one looks more blue. Might be real but I'd want to check it visually before I parted with that amount of money.
  8. Off topic post removed. Pointless one liners that are neither funny or relevant to the topic are not wanted.

  12. You can announce no talc, you can search bags or refuse entry and you don't need a police officer for that. You also have security who if they see it being used get it cleaned up and if the perpetrator won't comply, on yer bike like you said Kev. Do all the above and you are then seen to be doing something about the risk.
  13. I haven't taken any side Nik other than point out the facts which you failed to do. If you knew the facts then you wouldn't have given misleading information regarding a disclaimer. Loud music, furniture, drink etc are what you would expect in a night club/venue, risk assessments are done and steps taken to avoid any risk, accidents, I'd be surprised to go in a club and find neither of these but unfortunately accidents do happen and as a promoter and venue owner you have to show you have taken steps to avoid these. With talc the only step you can take to be safe legally is forbid it, plain and simple. You are simply deflecting from the argument by going off track with ridiculous arguments about furniture and loud music, none of what you are going on about are as big a risk to health as talc unless misused. Talc where ever it is applied is a hazard. And whether we like it or not more and more places will stop the use of it as time goes by.
  14. There is a topic in Look At Your Box already about this.
  15. Hope he has a speedy recovery and home soon.
  16. Think so, not the greatest sound quality but I've heard worse.
  17. I've seen that before as well....
  18. Yep just the one.
  19. Can't remember any stink kicked up apart form the smell in the place, it was a dump, then again I didn't read papers from Rotherham. I remember the squad coming in about 2am.
  20. It's a p*ss poor version of Tommy Ridgely. Unissued and you can hear why when you listen to her, she murders it. Don't think it ever legally issued anywhere, including CD???
  21. He was upset cause he wanted to play later
  22. I Dj'ed at one of the Blackpool Weekenders, mainly in the rare room but I kicked the night off in main room on the Sunday night, Billy Hambric was on the decks and some tw*t came up and said, "play some Northern, something we know from Wigan" I said "where do you think this was played" and we had a row where I threatened to knock him off the stage if he didn't f*ck off. Sean Chapman escorted him away These weekends aren't meant for the every week soulie who is a bit more serious about his or her music, it is mainly a social gathering with Northern Soul music that most are familiar with. Let them get on with it and just do your own thing.
  23. We are a free country and people have a choice....might not be the right choice in the eyes of others but it is their choice. If you limited promoters to the four slots as you said another way to promote the 5th or 6th would be found and the vacant slots would be filled by other promoters so choice would be even greater and the scene watered down (as you put it) even more.
  24. Bang on the nose Ged, someone else at last giving the facts rather than a punters view. You would think Lambrettanik the health and safety rep would know all the above instead of saying a disclaimer is sufficient, it isn't. You have to be seen to be doing something about it or like you said you are liable to any damages awarded in the case of a claim. What is plainly obvious is that most on here have not had dealings with venue owners and in particular venues owned by the council.
  25. Ok enough jokes about sex mags please. One or two I've no problem with but when they go on and on it begins to spoil the topic for others.
