Yes but we aren't dealing with Koko 2104 or 2113. I know these two have different recordings/longer or shorter takes of I Can't Stop. But you are just confusing matters here.... We are talking about KoKo 101 - I Can't Stop b/w You got To Give Love. That is what Kev asked a value for. As far as I'm aware just the one take on 101. And like I said I paid $7 for my last copy which was not too long ago. Had other copies around the same price and I've seen plenty other go through not much more and unsold. It is not extremely rare. Granted not as common as the two other I Can't Stop releases but it is not extremely rare.

My copy is "I Can't Stop/You've Got To Give Love" and cost me $7 or so. I've had others the same and seen same go through ebay unsold. I didn't think this was anything other than a cheap record and never seen it listed for sale as anything but a cheap record, £25 IMO. I have however checked popsike and there is one copy for $228 in 2008. I Can't Stop was also released on KoKo 2104 KoKo 2133. Copies of both are on ebay now.

I'll have to check Seb, been up two days when I posted. I was going by the YGTGL side and KoKo 101.

No one said it makes the record better by covering up, it is simply for the DJ to enjoy a bit of exclusivity on the disc, and why shouldn't he, he/she is the one who put in the time and effort to find and break the record in the first place. A cover up hasn't yet killed the scene and the Dj's do just as much to keep the scene alive as anyone, especially those who root out the "new " stuff. Besides it is more often than not the DJ responsible for the record/cover up in the first place so it is not yours. If you want to listen to the record go and listen to the DJ just like we used to do before the internet took hold, or go out and find the records like the DJ's doing the covering up. Too many lazy fookers who want everything on a plate and for those who put in the hard work and time and effort to simply hand everything over on a plate for you.

The Luther Ingram I watch go through ebay unsold at times, shame for such a great record. Last one I got I paid $7.

I agree Mike, when people say "known" that is because that is what they know about. If someone said "two copies only", that would be different. Don't think anyone knows of more than 3 or 4 copies of this record. Thats not to say there isn't more though, just what we know about. Who has the acetate? First I've heard of an acetate? Is it genuine studio acetate? Not quite average but it is far from one of the best things ever recorded, I've never really got on with it and can take it or leave it.

John Manship has it for £50 but I would have though bit less than that via SS sales or ebay if one crops up.

Papa Bear still seems to fetch a fair wedge, though the demand had died down on this one
