Dave, can we knock the terrace talk on the head, Mike asked you to stop and take your grievance with Eastbank Bootboy to PM's or emails, not on here. Whilst we are at it can we get back to the topic of SOUL Scene villains, not football terrace villains or hooligans. Couldn't care less what folk got up to on a Saturday afternoon, we are more concerned what folk got up to on a Saturday night at an all-nighter. Anymore football and will close the topic, stop spoiling it for others please.
  2. Agree with the others it has been around years. Was it played at Wigan?
  3. Yes but if it is a one or two copy rarity and you don't cover it up other copies can be sourced quickly as has proved over the years. Cover it up and you are more or less guaranteed exclusivity until someone stumbles on another copy.
  4. If everyone has the full info then it isn't exclusive is it. The DJ's keep the info to themselves purely to keep it exclusive. It is then up to others to work out what it is (which is part of the fun IMO) and the seek the disc out. Up to others if they keep it covered up which if there are still just two or three copies they usually do, or uncover it.
  5. Cover ups been about as long as the scene and simply give the DJ a bit of exclusivity on the disc until others come along, if they come along.
  6. yes but the topic isn't about play lists is it, it is about the need to put "request" at the end of a record in your play list
  7. I don't think anyone is complaining about play lists being posted? The topic was started because they couldn't understand why Dj's who put up a play list felt the need to tell everyone whether a record was a request. Play lists are good

this surely isn't a $400 or even $300 record is it? I'd rate it at £70 or thereabouts. Not a rare record.
  9. Hi Kev, it is a dancer, not for me though I'm afraid. I can't imagine where I would even feature something like this in my sets?
  10. two went through ebay in 2010 according to popsike for $37 and $50. Probably a bit more now. Described as garage Folk Rock in the three listings on popsike, good description too IMO. From what I've read the Hirich is a legal reissue, it states "formerly Hiback" on the label. Anyone know different?
  11. It's off an Appleray test pressing.
  12. yes Hirich https://cgi.ebay.com/Aquamen-Line-And-Track-SOUL-GARAGE-MOD-HEAR-45-/280648219929?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item4157effd19
  13. Is the Hirich label a boot? Seen mention of it being a second press/issue. Personally think it is an awful record, I'll put the ebay sound file up shortly.
  14. there is no rule, unwritten or other regarding ebay auctions, live or otherwise. It might upset one or two but people are free to discuss what they want. Back on topic, yes Richie I was aware of it, seen mentions of it in the past, on here and elsewhere.
  15. I know mate and I'm all for a bit of light relief now and again but seems to be a fair bit of off topic creeping into topics lately.
  16. ooh I'm gonna get into trouble for this https://cgi.ebay.com/200591509688 Same owner as the Revere label? Pretty similar labels apart from name.
  17. off topic posts removed.
  18. I presume you've seen the one on ebay?

  22. I know he was Karen but it can have a detrimental effect and not everyone got what Marc was getting at, you only have to see the mixed response to his post.
  23. True but living doesn't pay the bills, work does
  24. Great quotes from a top bloke. Has a great knowledge and I think still underestimated by some. Somehow I can't even begin to imagine Rob on a computer
