  1. Capitol bought audiodisc/audio devices in 1972. You can read the story here https://www.apollomasters.com/story.html
  2. Quite a few did Ian, same with Virtue, even in recent years.
  3. I know full well what who Audiodisc are. Liberty may have bought blanks from other companies but the Liberty ones I've seen have been their won label as in the other topic. Are you saying it's real Trev?
  4. Be honest, was it ever likely to be genuine? The first time I saw the listing on ebay it looked like a fake, it shouted out boot!! The more looked into and the more it was discussed it looked even more like a fake. the label, the fact that neither was released as a 45 Stateside, one in the UK and the other French/Italian. they were from different sessions, so why would they be on a studio acetate in the states?
  5. Yes but liberty as shown in other topic use their own acetates they wouldn't send a track to New York. Look at the other evidence. All points to a fake.
  6. Chalky replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
I don't think I've ever seen a record listed as z boot. eBay don't allow the word boot that's why they use reissue. 70s press I'd misleading, it gives it some sort of legitimacy. Reissue would have been a better word. Sad thing is someone will probably pay the money.
  7. I would file a dispute with eBay/paypal if the seller refuses to play ball.
  8. From the scans at the time of the sale it looks like a fake IMO. Liberty wouldn't use audiodisc in new York especially being a west coast company. Delores is if memory serves me correctly a European release only, doubt it was done at same session as It'll Never Be Over For Me and therefore doubt it would be on same acetate. If it was me I would file a claim. You could always be cheeky and use the size as an issue. You can get acetates done at various places on the net. Have you got it now? How new does it look? It looked pretty new from the scans.
  9. From the scans at the time of the sale it looks like a fake. Liberty wouldn't use audiodisc in new York especially being a west coast company. Delores

  11. What anger? You asked what people thought, you got some answers.
  12. exactly, it would be too late to alter you snipe as well. But if you bid normally $43.88 ebay would tell you your bid wasn't high enough and to enter whatever amount or more.
  13. well I've just looked at one with 4 bids. Under the bid now box it says the minimum bid, that's without even entering an amount. on this one it tells you $44.00 or more so why would you bid $43.88 for instance?
  14. A snipe bid isn't placed until a second or two to go and a snipe is only good enough if high enough.
  15. doesn't ebay tell you the minimum bid to enter? I also thought it told you your bid wasn't high enough or (un)successful.
  16. If it was a tenner I doubt anyone would bother with it, very average.
  17. Great stuff, thanks for sharing I've seen him do the impressions before.
  18. both clash with Cleethorpes don't they, London the Friday, Manchester on Saturday.
  19. Thought I was losing a few more marbles there Arthur. Didn't think you had one.
  20. I know, Mark's already been mentioned. I was referring to the fact that 3 others at lifeline could have played it.
  21. I should pay more attention :-) Three of Lifeline's residents have the record.
  22. Andy/Rob Thomas had it but think Rod's the first. Sure both will read this so can give the facts.
  23. Not saying you was wrong simply pointing out the 100 quid difference in just 3 copies and why popsike can be and is more often than not too inconsistent. Quick search on here would have shown the copy that was up for sale last month for £85.
  24. Has Arthur got one? Can't remember! Mick H has one.
  25. I don't claim to be anything Moldie but if I couldn't give a realistic answer I wouldn't bother. Your link just goes to prove how unreliable popsike is. There was a UK demo on here for £85 last month. US £30/£40.
