  1. where can you get the green paper covers?
  2. I think the label owner did it, Ady Pierce got what was left off him. There are some with Peak not crossed out with Saintmo written underneath.
  3. yeah Peak was first and rarer but Saintmo is OVO too as far as I'm concerned, other on label good too.
  4. Since when has Saintmo not been OVO? Either/both labels are fine.
  5. heinous Might be wrong but think heinous the wrong word IMHO. I suppose no one has ever bought a bootleg be it a record, item of clothing, perfume whatever
  6. If you are going to make comment stick to the facts and do not make statements that can be deemed libellous. And try and be grown up about your remarks, no time for petty pointy scoring comments. Kev is answering comments and giving his side, full marks to him, cheap sh*tty comments serve no purpose. One comment unapproved so far!
  7. Hi Steve, you anorak Just looked at JM Guide as I'm now at home, there is two boots, both use the same pressing plate. Paper quality is smooth matt finish. 3 turn deaadwax 11.5mm wide, scratched in matrix, quite large (3.8mm high) and reads as you say Bee 223A. One is heavy strong vinyl with a flat edge 1.02mm thick and reasonably flexible. Second one is thinner vinyl 0.85 mm thick and running out to a thicker pronounced bevel edge1.02mm thick. This thin vinyl is brittle and will break when flexed. Original is vinyl similar to 60's RCA pressing, paper style is grainy matt finish with sharp defined text. No more details. Above courtesy of John Manship.
  8. Anyone recommend any Modern Podcasts? I down load the one Roger Williams does for Solar via iTunes (plenty of new independent soul there Russ), anymore?
  9. Doing a bit of tidying up and merged Nev's and Sean's topics as both about the same record and dealer.
  10. The balcony at the stables for Lifeline is usually always full of dealers and very busy.
  11. Every era had played it's fair share of turkeys. Every era has passed over and ignored quality records for what are considered less worthy. The "northern soul" scene has never been just about soul music or even the quality, never will either. When you are young and off your face you will dance to anything, within reason. As you mature it is fair to say your tastes mature as well.

No problem, if you feel you have made a mistake you can always use the flag button to bring it to our attention, or we will move it later to the right forum if we think it is in the wrong place Welcome to soul source.

Is it a coincidence that your first posts are promoting a band or am I being cynical? One topic is enough, no need for same topic in another forum, to some it is spam. Can you post an intro if you haven't already done so in the Member Shouts forum
  14. aren't there two boots? All I've seen is reference to a boot.
  15. aren't the same matrix numbers on one of the boots, scratched in?
  16. Doubt you would tell the difference from the info and scan on the listing. If real as said already someone got a real bargain.

  21. You need to get the book Heey Baby Days of Beach, Greg Haynes I think of top of my head the author. Fabulous book with some superb photos and scans. You need a coffee table though as it is too big to sit and hold.
  22. You're a bit late with this, already a topic from a while ago about this lecture which was a pretty interesting day for those who attended
  23. I know what has gone off for many a year, done it myself and still do swap cd's. I'm not moralising or saying you shouldn't do something, someone asked a question whether it is legal or not and I and others answered answered it .
  24. Soul Source isn't responsible for what it's members post. Maybe it should ban such topics in future????
