Soul Police - The Charge Sheet
thats the second or third time you've implied Jock has no friends Dunno why cause believe me he has more friends on this scene than you will ever know.

Swing Value Please
I would assume Tommy at the time of the Swing release would have been signed to either ABC or Okeh

Soul Police - The Charge Sheet
exactly you and your mates aren't from a Northern Soul background, you have no history and by the looks of some of your statements no idea at times about Northern Soul. Maybe you should be better off keeping your mouth closed a bit more and learning a bit more before getting involved in stupid arguments with people who have been there, done it, worn the t-shirt out, even had beer spilt down it

Tommy Bush
Andy Dyson featured this in his sets the last two or three years.

Allnighter Promoter ?
realise it's gotta be step by step just thought if on front page you get the maximum benefit from it, use and views etc.

One Of The Holiest Of The Holy
I think it was $511.99 top be precise. Think the other one couple of weeks ago which from the photo was roughly about as rough was approx $750

Allnighter Promoter ?
Looks good Mike, uploaded Lifeline details for Saturday. Took about two minutes to fill in. Move it over now if you want my opinion, will stop all the nonsense that is used to promote venues currently. If not at least have this one on the front page and the old one where this new forum is.

Swing Value Please
both cheap if you ask me considering how rare it is and the quality.

I'm not stuck in the past but still think your statement is a load of b*ll*cks.

George Lemons
Terra Shirma was a front for the brothers who set up paper companies and sold shares to get money. Sure I also read/heard they laundered money through the companies. Dunno how Matt can say it's an unpopular record the last few years It still commands a four figure sum and it has and still does pack the dance floor regardless of what some say about the record.

It's also on the detroit lost soul series Goldmine did with some unissued stuff of his as well, Uphill Climb To The Bottom I think. PS Apologies if already mentioned

Quality control? It's no different today. There was plenty of crap back in the day, it was just they had a far bigger pool of quality than say the last 10/15 years. I agree with you about the Dean Barlow and where it should be left but to many others it's quality, it packs the floor, there were many records like this back then as well. As for completely over-rated Shrine stuff, some yes but wasn't Searling playing some of this over-rated rubbish too.

Welcome back to Soul Source Ian. I think no matter what you did, no matter how good some would find reason to slag it off or put it down just because of who you are and your reputation. Me I don't care, if it's good it's good, if it's sh*te then move on. I didn't like the way SWONS was done origianlly but can't deny that it was a great effort and it gave the artists some recognition, I do though look forward to the re-edited DVDS. We haven't always seen eye to eye and I've no axe to grind, hopefully your contribution to Soul Source can be a positive one and we can share in your undoubted knowledge and experience, after all thats what some of us are here for, to continue learning about this music of ours.

Unissued Shrine Tracks?
On first listen of There Is A Place I would have said Epsilons. After listening to second track not so sure

Am I Wrong To Let This Bother Me?
You'll be on about the taxi driver, forget his name right now. Been rumours for long time that he has a copy. Was rumours years ago of couple of copies on west coast of America as well but probably just that.
-
Am I Wrong To Let This Bother Me?
If memory serves me correctly, Ron Murphy got the second copy after placing an ad in local press asking for former employees of the pressing plant. This copy then went to Martin Koppell and then to Kenny via Tim.
-
Am I Wrong To Let This Bother Me?
$50,000 I think, or was it $25,000 f*ck knows, Tim turned it down anyway
-
Am I Wrong To Let This Bother Me?
Was given/borrowed by Motown to Tom Dieperro who moved it onto Simon Soussan and then to Les McCutcheon. All the rest ordered by Gordy to be destroyed by the pressing plant as far as I'm aware.
