again according to Soul Harmony (not always right of course) 5 group by the name of Millionaires. Ardent (no group info) Bunny, Big Bunny & Philips (Milton Grier, Floyd Gibson, James Sturkey and James Warren) Castle (Vincent Paul Unto, William Tyler (aka Billy Abbott, earlier of Billy Abbott & Jewels) and unknown members. Speciality (Gene Maye (Brother of Arthur Lee Maye) plus unknown members) and lastly Ruby Johnson & Millionaires on Pledge.

According to Soul Harmony the Millionaires on Castle some went on to be part of Executive Suite and others Exectutive Suite and Neo Experience. The Millionaires on Big Bunny, Philips were a different group. Members being Milton Grier, Floyd Gibson, James Sturkey and James Warren, no mention of them going on to be something else????

# I counted over 50 on one night once. Did you look at the geographical spread of these 37 events? where they all in the UK? How many were actual clashes, locality wise? Maybe some in the midland s are fed up with what's on offer already and all the politics that exist in the midlands and feel they can do better. If they aren't up to it they will soon fall by the wayside. Venue clashes have always existed and will do in the future. Don't know what you are worried about. If your venue is as good as you say it is you won't have anything to worry about, gimmicks like sandwiches won't influence anyone, its the night out that counts, socially and musically.

What's the average age of a record collector? Looking round record bars at venues when out its got to be 40 plus with many in their 50's. Unless they are gonna take these record with them into another life, if you believe in that b*llocks, then there will be a lot of rare records on the market in years to come.

should be midnight till 7 or 8. Your soul night promoters would benefit that way as well. But as already said it's near on impossible to get a venue owner to go for those times. All they think about is what they take behind the bar, most don't care for an all-nighter either as it costs them extra with regards to staffing.

who's looking at a guide? you are obviously looking at JM guide. Popsike showing this year (March) less than $800 as have most of those listed the last year or so. Just the one over $800 and that was just over $900.

yes its still covered up. About 6 or 7 years now since Andy Dyson first found one. yes Butch has it, doesn't play it enough IMO. JV offered it to Searling so he told me at the end of Wigan. He said Richard gave it him back saying it was too good for the northern crowd....apparently.

Anyway you can also use the superb Don't Forget The Motor City website for all your details and probably more if you didn't manage to acquire one of these from Ian.

I've been in touch with the label owner who recorded the Ditalians and Traditions on Saxony, BArclay etc. The band members for the Saxony/Barclay Traditions were Joe Graziano Vocals & Keyboard, Ted Alex drums, Gregg Stankunas bass & lead vocal, Paul Betz, Anthony Testa and Mike Mc Clain on Guitar. The manager was Ron Metz. I think it's a different group to the Abet Traditions even though they recorded in the same town. The label owner wasn't sure if they were the same or not but to me they are at least different lead singers???? One sounds white the other not so white to these cloth ears. I'll dig out the mails and correspondence I had from him and see what they actually say.

Where have you gone off topic Phil? Contessa must be one of the most expensive too if it came on the market so you've no need to apologise. Most of the records mentioned are the rarest on the scene, just happens that they are expensive too.
