  1. whatever any of us think about Black Wings it is great northern (I'm not fond of the record too much myself) and it does fill the floor every time it's played

  4. I rate it about £150ish but know some have paid more. Think the one on JM went for little over £200 but not totally sure. Was discussed little while back so you might be able to find it in a search.
  5. There's 8 in the group, four vocalists, two guitarists, a drummer and a saxophonist and yes they are white. I've a photo from one the Washington papers and there's more info in one of the Ol' Virginia Soul Cd booklets, I'll dig 'em out later.

    I got an lp through t'other week, packed between cardboard as you would expect then an lp either side One of the lps used for packing has the likes of the Isleys on it, Delfonics, Dells, Tommy James, Curtis Mayfield...Dawn and the Partridge Family

    whilst looking for the Frank Wilson version of the Vows - Tell me t'other day I found an alternate take of DILYIID As well as hedging his bets to find the best version for release, another possible reason was good way of filling albums in case not enough material.

    Late (anything but) I usually find is a 12 midnight finish with the bar closing at 11pm
  16. Dean Anderson as far as I know has the only one, a studio acetate. He has studio acetates to Upper Hand and Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah. Be interesting to find out if on tape?
  17. Dave Burton responsible for them and he was( Still is ?) living in Hong Kong at the time, done in his flat by all acounts??? You can hear the mobilke phone go off in one of the tracks.
  18. The Larry Hammond was recorded a few years ago though in Hong Kong, three or 4 tracks done at same time.
