  1. You may get bored with too many 70's and in your opinion loses some of the atmosphere but to someone else it will make the night...also why do you have the right to moan at something thats played and in most cases advertised? Like I said cause someone doesn't like something doesn't mean that someone on the next table thinks it is the best record of the bight. One man's/woman's meat is anothers poison blah blah.... I get bored with too many oldies you hear week in week out but I either vote with my feet and go somewhere else or just get on with it. Most people who attend venues on a regular basis know what a particular dj is going to play, if not to their taste they should either stay away or keep quiet in my opinion...like I said may not be to one person taste but to another they will be. If a dj is that bad that he consistently clears the floor then he or she ain't going to get booked so problem solved there I see and hear many moaning about this that or the other but I never see them do anything aboput it...like promote a venue

Just looked in two of Pete's mags, no scan....few of Rob's old records and acetates in one but no Charmaines. Certain it's April and Blackwood though

yeah 10 inch I think, there's a scan I think in one of Pete Lawson's old magazines. Roger Banks has it now, or did. Shifty had one as well (Michael Christian), he covered it has Pookie Hudson or summat like that.

  10. mate had couple and they flew out at £350, he's not had any since. I'd would guess nearer £500 nowadays as it's always asked for on wants lists. Know one or two who would pay that too.
  11. Didn't think the Shell release turned up that often, have been looking out for it and only seen a couple in recent times. Has been played lately covered up and think another well known DJ just got hold of one.

  16. if someone charged double the actual value for a record I doubt they would do much business

The "What Took You So Long" side Steve or the flip? WTYSL certainly sounds more the more pleasing one on the ear but takes a little too long to get going, 40 seconds before it moves up a gear. Reminds me of the Tribulations which takes nearly a minute to get going.

took me ages to get this one, more commonly seen with the other not so rare flip. Sid Jones had a copy dunno if it's gone or if Sid's left for sunnier shores yet?
  21. Seen several on e-bay for between £40 and £70 odd, maybe bit more. Wouldn't expect to pay much more but you never know these days. Quality not much better on P-Vine, sure it was done straight from Turbo disc rather than masters. If you want to play any out better of getting a cut done after a bit of home remastering.
  22. it's Billy Kennedy
  23. Billy's version (115) has the girlie intro... Emanuel_Laskey__Actually_Billy_Kennedy____Don_t_Lead_Me_On_Baby___Thelma_115.mp3
