  1. You don't like white "soul" records, most black soul records are shite....are you on the right scene Agree Locations is great as is the deep flip JD Bryant one of my all time faves too

was told some months ago that this was fetching £60 - £100 down south on the soul scene by Dave Halsall...which soul scene I don't know, maybe the Caister crew or summat...another dealer at Yarmouth Soul Essence backed this up as well. Seems the Northern Scene is just catching up with other scenes here me thinks.
  3. Andy Dyson has the George Freeman. Now who's fgot the GH...seen one very recently
  4. Great record and cheap, £15/£20.
  5. Hi Andy, it's in my playbox and has been out the odd time.
  6. Hi Lenny, mail Andy Dyson, Dysonsoul@aol.com , he did have one spare.
  7. Billy just where do you get your figures from, thin air? Then Passions was listed at £1700 on Andy's list so he's hardly gonna up the price as soon as some one shows interest to £2500. The person who bought the Passions was more than happy with what he bought and the price he paid.
  8. Not sure but think Christian could have got it off Andy Dyson and sure Sam reviewed this in Manifesto/N. Soul some time back.
  9. I know Patrinel Staten has gone for more, summat like twice that figure. Very rare record......good record but not right up there with the best IMO.
  10. have seen one and that was fucked.

Try Andy Dyson @ Dysonsoul@aol.com he did have one.
  12. one great track is the unissued Kae Williams Our Love Is Dying...Andy Rix/Rob Thomas & later Andy Dyson
  13. the best Northern Soul record IMO but again '86/'87
  14. Definately mid 80's. Have this on tape from 100 Club from '87, Ian Clarke could be the one spinning it.
  15. more like £1500 IMO. Sure last one for sale went for nearer 2k

what ever supply there was won't last forever

copies seem to be drying up, certainly not as many about as few months ago so would expect price to rise if demand is still there
  18. Have seen the Dave Mitchell...two copies recently

  20. Big early 90's spin for Rob Marriott.
  21. my memory fading too quickly Joan Quality nighter them Droylsden ones
  22. Think Just Brothers been around from early 80's....John Vincent had it first I think off John Anderson(?) he did tell the story on here once, offered it to Searling who gave it back sying too good for Northern Scene (at the time I presume) Maybe he read this and tell it again
  23. Pretty sure Norris Vines lot longer than 5 years. Papa Bear been known about some years so therefore not a recent discovery...maybe to you. As for others probably been known about but not had the exposure, same as a lot of stuff...doesn't make them recent discoveries though does it. I mean someone new to the scene most records will be new discoveries
  24. as far as I'm aware the Jackson Brothers got spins as far back as Stafford. been about some years.
  25. dunno but it was played in early 90's. I'll ask Andy Dyson he was there when the original acetate was delivered.
