sold my 1st copy(traded a copy of strangers/nightwinds/w/b,paid £20 for & £20/30? for it) for £100 to someone in Sweden,same time it took off. sold my 2nd copy for £300 this year. both bought same time @ leeds allnighter(Scotland v England one). guy called john? had a small sales box with about 8 or 10 of them,all covered in $2 sale stickers...someone must of picked them up from the do & sold them to a record shop,prob got $1 each for them...should of held on to them eh mr gordy,lol. was also a copy of guitar ray / shagg in his box & everybody asked to buy that,but he had just bought it that night for £60 or £70,lol.

sad but a common story on artists money from records. I like them all. I have clyde & laskey's, never got round to buyin fourth day,my hate had it but sold it soon after as didn't like production compared to lackey's,think fourth days was same as laskey's silver label production. I listen to laskey's full disco version b-side everytime,just love the inst break in it.

I must have 100+ northern cds mostly goldmine/kent,but I bought them years ago when they were coming out like what seemed like weekly...I haven't bought any since.apart from 2cds with all the kapp releases. they just seemed to of just stopped dead back then & the odd ones coming out was stuff I had on all there other cds,apart from 1 or 2 tracks I didn't have.they had to be the ones youd buy the cd for,lol.but didn't see the point of buying for the odd record. I know there is a few good ones that have came out..but was it a case of they had put out all the ones they had the rights to & now have run out of tracks they can put out,seems to be mostly from the vaults/un released stuff. I could be wrong as I havnt looked @ any new ones in years,apart from adys pied piper cd. I have all the great records in my memory,so I can pick & sing to them any time I want,lol...a walking living juke box,lol

was worse when I dj'd for years on scooter scene,had to play the same old northern everytime(along with,ska,reggie,punk,psychobilly,indie etc) they moaned if playd northern they didn't know.but was always the northern that got them running to the dancefloor,lol. in those 15years only 2 new northern records come to mind that got excepted in.... ketty lester / some things are better left unsaid & Nolan porter / if I could only be sure weird tho a mid-tempo & a 70's,lol.

must admit a lot of the suggestions that have been put up,are prob classed as oldies now to those who stayed on the scene late 80s/90s,lol wasn't about the speed then(records,not the gear),beat ballads,mid-tempo,r&b,60s newies or semi-known(even tape swappers sometimes) if it was good we/they would dance.

tiz a great record. gasher on here traded his copy with Weston for a current huge indemand uptempo floorfiller,so Weston wanted it for its pure soul content. but alas,it wouldn't break into the break the 500 mould.

love this record,never turns up tho. nearly had one off goldmine but was a vg. emailed guy(rick?)a few times asking how it plays etc,but he wouldn't give me a straight answer,so never risked it.
