  1. May be wrong but I can't remember a Court Davis on manship auction over the last few years so don't believe he is as you put it 'dripping them out'.
  2. The two choons I'm spinning a lot are Lattimore Brown - Sweet Desiree https://youtu.be/JN806uew2KQ Little Bob - Stop https://youtu.be/ak9Q7k6nkWk D
  3. Love Lindas voice, another that I personally think is great is You hit me like TNT. Perhaps too fast for some these days?
  4. Normal for John's Auctions as stated on his site "Automatic Auction End Time Extension - To avoid any last minute bid sniping, and allow other bidders to respond, the system will automatically extent the auction end time on any last second bids by 3 minutes. Any additional bids will extend the auction by a further 3 minutes until no further bids are placed. At this point the system will close the auction automatically."
  5. Perhaps I'm missing something here but do people really think the issue is worth four or five times the price of a white demo?
  6. I have to say Steve built me a record box a few years ago now. This is the main box I use when DJin. I have Swan and other similar cases as well but this box is far superior to those and is custom built. Best box I've ever had and have had loads of people admiring it. Very strong and well thought out, he is obviously a record collector. The strap is great, making it easy to carry, mine even has custom sections for storing two record centres and a fibre brush in the lid. The box came with two metal cone centres and fibre brush. Proper high quality latch locks and removable lid. And what I like the best is the soft sprung handle, much better than the usual hand hurters. Corners and edges , high quality, tight rivited, decent soft foam and carpet interior, perect fit for white card sleeves with or without plastic covers. Have dropped and bashed box a few times and it still looks brand new. I'd put a pic of it up on here but I'm currently out of the country, so can't, but will do so when home. Anyway, I bought my box from him off ebay and this box that I won was a 100 count box. Now after I paid for it I mentioned to Steve that I was really after a 150 count box. So what came in the post, for no extra cost, yes a 150 box that he made especially for me, after making that comment. Top dealer and record box maker that goes the extra mile to keep his customers happy. To be honest I would have bought another box off him by now but I lost his contact details due to a computer crash. Highly recommended. Ps I'm not on commission LOL Honest

  10. Ok Dean, didn't know that. I thought there was over a year between the lp and single release plus different label. Always good to wind up the 45 only guys lol. I'm happy with my lp. Thanks for the info.
  11. You may have a point, so is this an original? https://www.northernsoulpriceguide.com/guide_detail.php?item=200635303536
  12. As it says on the 45, NLTD was originally issued on the Fania label LP. Uptite label 45's a reissue.
  13. fake pish IMHO
  14. So should Carl not be the only one playing this out?
  15. Po boy is a traditional sub sandwich from Louisiana. my fave is with shrimp.
  16. Small world Russ, we could have met for a few beers and a po boy. I was mainly there for a conference but managed to tag a few days on for record hunting.
  17. I was record hunting in New Orleans the week before Katrina hut and I then went back a year or so after. Both times I found plenty of records, so don't think lots of vinyl got wiped out, though perhaps water damaged labels. I'd tell your mate to start off at Jim Russell's shop on Magazine street.
  18. No, reissues changed In for And. Original title is moonlight music IN you.
  19. Thanks, I felt it was reasonable price, don't like to overcharge. It was still more than I originally paid for it. Had two offers within seven minutes, could have sold it three times. Sure the new owner will be happy with it.
