  1. Thanks mate. Thought it was there that I heard it first. When Neil and Jackie Clowes used to run it. Great times. Thought it could have been Tony,s at first but decided on Keele. Steve
  2. Sure it got played at early Keele nighters. People on here more knowledgeable than me will put you right . Steve
  3. Don't know if many survived . The coating was very thin and worn out the groove after not many plays. Making them unplayable. The aluminium was clearly visible on my pointer sisters emi disc. Steve
  4. I remember the picture mate, it was a cracker Don't know if they will stay around, they dont normally. Steve
  5. Eugene Record. Can sing a fine tune. As can Freddie Gorman. Ron Isley . Teddy Pendergrass. Edwin Starr. Eddie Holman is amazing live, the best live act I've ever seen. list is endless but Levi Stubbs is top for me ( pun intended) Steve
  6. Golden Eye- Male. First time I've managed a photograph of these birds. Don't get many on my local nature reserve Steve
  7. Fly or lure fishing Tolbert ? The seatrout have virtually disappeared from most UK rivers unfortunately Steve
  8. Just remembered that I had a summer in the parks on emi disc to but can't remember what the other side was, something telling me that it was a single sided one. Can't remember Steve

  11. Yes. Once they get used to people. Had one feed put of my hand a few years ago at Leighton moss RSPB reserve but it wouldn't take anything out of Lou, s hand or even land on it. She wasn't best pleased Steve
  12. Who needs my 500 mm Lens when a Robin comes this close to my phone to get a picture. Going back tomorrow with some sunflower hearts and it should feed out of my hand. Watch this space Steve

Think your looking about £600 these days Steve
  15. Nice choices. Hope you're enjoying the journey behind them turntables. Rule No 1 . Never try to understand people on here We all have weird senses of humour ..... sick in most cases . Just nod your head and agree / disagree which ever way , they won't know the difference but don't take the comments to heart because there's always someone winding up something or other. But enjoy your self Rule No 2. Repeat rule No 1 Steve
  16. Sorry tigger I've got no more likes left so I had to comment 👍
  17. As most replies have said they dont have any set ones it all depends on the night.
  18. Stunning photographs Andy. My youngest son Thomas has been doing Snowdon a lot recently. Llanberris- summit- Llanberris 5 hours. Grib coch route had to climb down when a storm blew in and managed to rescue a trapped American lady on the way down. The joys of being 25 years old Forgot about this picture of Thomas on the infamous Crib Goch ridge earlier this year Steve
  19. The box with all dovetail joints was hand made by a good friend who was a carpenter. Mark sadly passed away earlier this year but the box along with the plaque fitted on the inside that Mark and Pam had engraved to me will be treasured for ever. I've even started buying records again , so as the box is in use again. Steve
  20. Records Len records. 😛 Hat, coat, door. Bye Steve
  21. Julian. can guess who they where and knowing there sense of humour like you do, deliberate mischief springs to mind. Steve
  22. Always get to the venue early so as to make a mental note of what they play before you. Unless your DJ at soul night then nighter. Always time for mischievous behaviour when that happens. Stand on stage then just as the DJ about to play a record, tell him it's been played before he got there. Priceless when you tell him it hasn't after he's spent ten seconds panicking about what to play when he only has 8 seconds to pick something else. Steve
  23. I normally took a 300 box with a bit of everything alphabetically. I.e. grabbing the front A same from B etc, then next time grabbing middle of the A, B and so on . Seemed to work for me. I was lucky enough to be able to get / buy records that I liked above all else so I did have a idea what was going into the box from knowing what i owned. Never bought a record that I didn't like or never played one that I wouldn't dance to myself Steve
