  1. Thats so true. Every thing has become pigeon holed up in to what ever that latest buzz word is ( funky edged ) for example. Scrap the boxes, play the tunes if they're good they will set there own demand and reaction Steve
  2. Trust your well As you know it was the other side Sweet and heavenly melodies that first brought it to attention. Which nobody plays out anywhere to my knowledge. A happy Bob along tune that's maybe slightly popish for today but no reason why it can't be played in a forgotten type set. Steve
  3. Martyn. It's a good job you had your big lens with you just in case you had to fight it off. Or you could have hid beneath it. Lovely photo as always mate Steve

  10. Swifty. Trust your well sir. The ken dodd mix would be worth a fortune now I'm glad you left out Widnes when you referenced St Helens and Warrington . We are truly original from my home town of Widnes not like those bootlegs from the other two places Steve
  11. It's so sad Mark. I even forgave him for going over to the dark side ( modern scene) . Steve
  12. It taken me 24 hours to get round to posting this. Mark Clugston has passed away after a long illness. I'm gutted for Pam and all his family. Mark your not suffering anymore my friend. You never gave up. Sleep well and rest in peace . It was a privilege to have known you. I spent one of the greatest most emotional nights of my life with Mark. We travelled by coach from Manchester to Barcelona for the European champions league final on the 26th May1999. Between Manchester United and Bayern Munich. For as long as I live I will never ever forget that time. Steve n Lou. X
  13. Didn't get to see any Swallows again today but I did get to see my first returning Hirundines of the year . Sand Martins X 6 at lunch time. No photographs unfortunately, seen through binoculars at about 500 metres distance Forgot to add that I saw a butterfly as I was driving home from Pennington flash, didn't get chance to identify it. 20. Thanks mate much appreciated bit grainy with pushing the ISO due to the awful weather and light conditions this morning but the lake was as flat as a mill pond. Steve
  21. Spent the morning looking for the first returning Swallows of the year. For the last two years I have been lucky enough to see them on the 27th March but today wasn't my time. This date is the earliest that I have ever seen them in the UK so maybe the recent bad weather has stopped them returning as early this year. Three Sand Martins did fly through Steve
