  1. Why are people getting so wound up about a television program. I'm as passionate about my love of soul music as the next person, otherwise I would have taken a different path in life, because this one is about a life style. Failed marriage. Tens of thousands spent on records.Sleepless weekends. Knackered at work, knackered at home . Why. Not because it was on this England, or the one show but because I love it. I wear what a feel comfortable in . I listen to what I want to listen to. I attend venues I want to attend. I dance if I want to. I buy records I want to buy. I go in oldies rooms. I go in rare rooms. I go in modern rooms. I go in R n B rooms, wherever I want. It's not the end of the soul world as we know so let's just get on with what we love. Steve
  2. Sooty. Welcome back. It's been very quiet on here lately, Steve
  3. I was thinking that to. Will mention it to her on Saturday. Steve
  4. The Carl. What about calling it Universal Soul. Makes sense with social media being universal. Steve
  5. Just a thought. Has anyone stopped to ask the young soulies why they wear the clothes. Maybe that's how they're distancing themselves from the everyone looks the same high street look. Or again just a thought. If it was good enough and comfortable enough for us to dance in isn't that just maybe what they're doing. Steve
  6. I remember you commenting when I posted the pictures of them last year. Am chuffed for you..Can't wait for my holidays. 8 weeks to go. Always see loads of them down in Pembrokeshire. Steve

  8. What's wrong with everyone on here. It's just a television program. With some soul music getting played and a few people dancing in the background. Oh I forgot it wasn't approved by the soul police. Steve
  9. Worth watching for Lisa Elaine, Sammy n Trickster didn't do anything wrong . Dancers where good in the main. Yeah parts were bit hide behind the settee ie the presenters. But seen worse on the television. Steve. Lisa

  12. Well the chiffchaffs and sandmartins didn't want to appear on Steve's photo shoot today. Managed to capture a few pictures of some special birds though. Will post as soon as I get chance. Steve
  13. Peter. It's a whole new world just waiting for you mate. It's a special world that we live in, it's just a shame that more people don't realize exactly what's around them. a camera certainly opened my eyes to the more intricate ways of nature. And that's from someone who has fished and loved the great outdoors since I was about 5 years of age. Steve
  14. Well I'm out and about again tomorrow. Hopefully will be some new pictures to post. Chiffchaff and sandmartins are the target's . Steve
  15. I like Ray Charles 70,s version as much. Think it was a 1976 release if memory serves me right. Steve
  16. What's all the fuss about. If you don't agree with it don't watch it. If you do what's the problem. I didn't go the casino when they filmed this England because I didn't want normal people seeing me off my head on gear. I wish I had done now because it's a classic piece of our scene with loads of memories of how we used to be plus footage of some good friends no longer alive. I will be watching with a totally open mind. And wish all the young souls good luck. Steve
