  13. As a ex promoter of Winsford nighters. I was in a position to give relatively unknown DJ,s a go in a big venue in front of 100,s of punter,s. Which i did most times the nighter was on. But not before i had seen them DJ at a local venue where they was comfortable with there surroundings and i was confident that they could make the step up to a big nighter venue and everything that goes with it. Because it takes a special type of person to take that giant leap. Some people dont like it once they,ve tried but others love it. It can be a scary, lonesome place if you make a mistake and cant sort it quick enough. Good luck to anyone that wants to try it Steve
  14. In the last week i,ve bought of evil bay, Carolines. Cant help loving that boy demo and a Micheal & Raymond Man without a woman demo for 80 odd quid incl p&p. Bargins are still there. Steve
  15. I aint got any hair to split Why is everyone getting so serious bout someone playing a few tunes at a soul night. Life goes on. There are far more serious thing in life to worry about. I collect and play originals thats my choice. But one of my best mates who shall remain nameless is a brill DJ and one of the best dancer,s ever dont care wether he plays original or boots. Thats his choice. His ethos is he would never play something that he wouldnt dance to Steve

  24. That's what my original comment was about. I'm not having a go at anyone who don't smoke, moaning about the smell etc, etc Was having a go at the large council run venue's more than anyone else because of the total disregard for people who smoke and there lack of adequate shelter. Steve
