  1. Yes Gaz, There,s some footage knocking about mate. Trust you and the Lovely Debs are fine. Up there with the very best and a top man too
  2. Picture of me and possibly the greatest spinner of them all Vernon taken on New year eve at the Monaco ballroom in Wigan We have both added a few pounds around the middle since those Halcyon days of the Casino and beyond,
  3. Tonight,s Full Moon, the first full moon of the year is called the Wolf Moon, from a not particularly clear Manchester sky
  4. The orbit. Bloody hell, that's a blast from the past. Down those steps. Used to go to Rhyl on the scooters about 75 /76 riding out from Widnes. Recently been knocked down for new sea front apartments .
  5. Recently sent this picture to a friend of mine and couldn't remember if I had ever posted it on here. Song Thrush. Eating berries from the Rowan tree in the back garden . Taken through the kitchen window.
  6. Not sure that either of you saying that is a compliment or not 🤔but I will take it as one. 🤣🤣. There'sa few people actually said that over the years, Don't know why 🤣
  7. Len. We both attended a recent nighter when one of the Djs wearing cans was dancing around behind the decks, looking like he was dancing to a different record than what he was playing , he had already cue,d the next record. I did comment to a few people who laughed.
  8. That's what I'm saying you can be taught dance steps but if you don't get the soul thing , your just a dancer with no soul ,you may as well learn tap dancing or ballet
  9. Stunning place, but not sure about the summer bit, the pines are green but there's not a leaf on the other tree's from what I can see viewing off my mobile.
  10. In reply to Paul S post. As he rightly says, you can't teach someone Northern soul dancing. You either get northern soul or any soul music for that matter and dance to it however the way the music takes you and in a way that you want to express that. You can be taught basic dance steps but afterwards it's all yours. I'm lucky I got it , ( whatever it was I got ) the same as the people who are on here get it, you can't describe it. Hope that makes sense. Steve
  11. Definitely my friend.
  12. Thanks mate. Couldn't remember🤔 James name. 👍
  13. As good a freestyle dancer as I've seen, up there with Craig Westwood, Al Kinsella ,Gethro, not forgetting the young soulies. Eithan, Aaron Williams, young Courtney from Stoke and a few others . Steve
  14. 🤣🤣🤣. I've actually cancelled my virgin tv package mate, yes no football , not that we are playing any 🤣 trust that you are well and safe mate 😁
  15. Ian i Definitely heard it at the casino, As i was much too young for the torch or wheel, Think it even started getting played in M,s if i.m not mistaken Steve
  16. Fair comment my friend. I really never watch anything like that sort of programme, never particularly watch the TV apart from the wildlife, natural history, type stuff. Steve
  17. There's still plenty of venues playing the lesser known, under played, rarer stuff , stay away from the top 500 venues where the people who dress up go ( for want of a better word ) .Where there's some very good dancers to be seen by the way , young and old who choose to dress the way they do. Each to their own. Personally I tend not to go many of the top 500 type venues for musical reasons alone, not because of what someone is wearing. Steve
  18. Len my friend. I've always been at a age that I couldn't care less.🤣 I've not seen the programme or any of the footage so can't comment , not that I have ever commented about anyone's dancing. Every single person dances to the best of their own ability to records they choose. I may not like the record that they're dancing around to but thats my choice.
  19. Some very expensive Christmas presents there for some lucky people Steve
  20. Why watch stuff like that when you know what is going to happen, then come on here moaning about it afterwards. Simple answer. Dont watch .
  21. 🤣 thought that there was some confusion 🤣. Hope it's a scorching hot summer and a single swift doesn't make a summer 🤣. I know it should be a swallow but I couldn't resist Steve
  22. Im Spartacus. 🤣That's why i called myself Winsford soul on here instead of my real name Steve Smith. 🤣 We're far to common 🤣.i think that there should be a cull.
  23. Russell. A screen shot from the RSPB website and it's definition of red list
  24. Russell. I see plenty around certain areas of the North West but according to the RSPB website they,re a red listed bird. formally a farmland bird but with the change to intensive farming practices they have all but disappeared from those areas. major problems with the UK natural environment agree big time my friend
