NOTICE. Please note, due to illness Roger can't make tomorrows soul session but will be back with us before the years end. Replacement DJ for the evening is Johnny Briggs from the Crosville club. John a seasoned DJ with 50 years under his belt ( thats years experience DJing and not age) is a regular and knows what goes down well. ST LUKES ANNUAL ALLDAYER This year we have a change of venue. Due to circumstances beyond anybodys control we have had to move the venue this year to ***The Coppenhall Workingmens Club*** 103 North st Crewe CW1-4NJ We would like to take this opportunity to thank ALL concerned from the Crosville Club, who's help in past years has been invaluable in making this event the success it has become. .Now in its 8th year. In the past 7 years we've handed monies to the value of over £28,000. ALL going to a very worthy local cause This local Hospice costs 3.9 million per year to run, mostly raised through fund raising, PLEASE if you,ve got the Easter Sunday free ,and want a great day out with like minded people Come and help us smash the £30,000 barrier. 12 great DJs, all giving their time freely, spinning the very best in Northern Soul & Motown. Starting at 2.00pm until 11.30pm STILL ONLY £5.00 OTD Real value for Soul !!!! This room has got a fantastic large spung- talc friendly dance floor. We would be most grateful of any donations towards the raffle, which in past years has been mega.

This month we welcome two more local lads to help Kev & Gerrard with the evening. Regulars John Pollet and Roger Conneely will be spinning the black stuff from between 9.30 & 11.30, with myself (Nige) starting the evening off at 7.30 til 8.15. WELL the night spoke for its self. Many thanks to all that turned out on Friday night, what an event it turned out to be, ALL Djs rising to the occasion playing some fantastic music, well over 100 in attendance and what a way to finish a very successful year, and we're looking forward to more great Djs to grace the decks in the New-year. With an added bonus, WE WILL be holding Crewes very own annual St Lukes Alldayer down at Coppenhall, this year being held on April 12th, More details to follow on that subject. Can we take this opportunity to wish all our regulars and all who attend - a VERY Happy Christmas & New-year and look forward to seeing you all in the coming year, Next event Friday January 17th where we have two more guest Djs helping residents Kev & Gerrard start another soulful year. A massive thanks to all that turned out last friday at Coppenhall soul club, great turn out with numbers being up, Two brilliant sets by our guest DJs-John and Courtney both keeping the dance floor busy. Ramping up for our christmas bash on the 20th of next month where we have another 2 guests for the evening, to start the night off we have John Valentine from Winninton Rec, and secondly we have Ged Beggs from Crewes monthly sunday soul sessions at the Box. The evening being supported by residents Kev Ellis & Dennis Reade. Don't forget to get there early, as this one is normally VERY well attended. Come and help us start Christmas with a cracker.!!!! This month we welcome 2 more guest DJs to grace the decks down at Coppenhall, the first being non other than the Crosvilles number one resident, Mr Johnny Briggs, John a 50 yr experienced Dj attends the Coppenhall soul nights on a regular basis and knows what goes down well. Secondly we have a young lady, Countney Betts from the S-O-T soul scene,(Young soul lass) has DJ'd at quite a few local venues including The Box & The Pot Bank, Down here at Coppenhall we like to encourage both young and old talent behind the decks, so keep your eyes open in the new year for different faces up on stage, spinning the black stuff and keeping it fresh. Along with regulars Kev Ellis, Johnny Pollet and Nige, its got the makins of another belter. See yer there - Nige
