Little Beaver - Listen To My Heartbeat
Brilliant post Mark and oh so true. I sold my 45 after I bought the LP back in the 80s I was "going through a phase" of selling 45s if I found the LP.............what a great idea that was .........................Carol Anderson immediatly springs to mind as another example. Best stop now or I'll get nightmares Cheers Paul

David Ruffin Ltd Edition
Not surprised at all meself to see it going for 50, people were selling it for 25 or more while it was still available from hip-o-select They won't sell their CDs to England anymore but you can buy them (at hip-o-select prices) from Dusty grooves. Not this David Ruffin one I hasten to add this has been a long time sold out Great stuff on the CD "I Cant Be Hurt Anymore" was a big radio play for Mr Searling at the time of release Cheers Paul PS Mines number 1800

Arctic Records
Wouldn't say it sounds better gazman but there is a very nice remix on there Also theres the really good Fantastic Johnny C "Waiting For The Rain" remix which is basically the instrumental and vocal tracks mixed so that its longer, like not messed about with, if you see what I mean An Arctic CD now theres a thought...................something for Kent maybe ? Wonder if theres many tracks "left in the can" ? Cheers Paul

The Dells...will They Ever Come Back? Please Help
A fantastic night it was at Stoke probably the best live gig I've been to. Was lucky enough to see them again a couple of years later ( in Oakland) it was the same show but without the northern numbers ! Blew me away all over again tho...............as did their "support" acts, Bloodstone and The Emotions !!!! Marvelous Marvin was still having problems and in fact did a good part of the gig on a stool Mark, I spoke with the Dells bass player in Feb and he told me they always play in Chcago at a "food and music" festival every June. Together with lots of other Chicago soul acts............maybe worth checking out ? Think Mr Burton actually lost money on the Stoke gig so think carefully before re mortgaging ! Cheers Paul
