  3. Nice one Derek, never seem to hear anyone metioning this 'nighter these day's. If I remember correctly (which isn't alway's!) it was on around bank holiday weekend's and was run by Martin Christie (MJC). A good "newie's" 'nighter with the like's of Richard Searling, Pat Brady and Soul Sam on. It was also the first venue I saw (heard?) Dave Withers DJ. Happy day's!!! Cheers Paul Woosnam
  4. Good call Garethx The Music Maker's were an embryonic MFSB. Vince Montana Bobby Eli Ron Baker Earl Young Norman Harris They were also responsible ('though not credited) for creating "The Horse"-Cliff Nobles. As for "United" being better than The Intruders? Maybe for dancing .......oh don't get me started on The Intruders!
  5. Raynoma Gordy as "Director"?

  9. Simon, the "Soul Harmony Singles" book list's The Producers 45 together with Kenny Gamble and the Floaters/Romeos 45's. Only mention's Kenny Gamble as vocalist with group member's Thom Bell or Leon Huff (piano) Winnie Wilford (bass) Roland Chambers (guitar) Karl Chambers (drums) So I'd guess it's them. Cheer's Paul Woosnam

  13. Not 100% sure 'bout this but have heard that Jazz Cafe post up ''sold out'' and then sell some OTD ticket's due to some by-law or summut? If you're dead keen may be worth turning up on the night opening time and asking. Or just come and see her 7th April here in Amsterdam

  19. Check out "In The Basement" magazine No38 for a full discography(US) and interview with the wonderfully talented and terribly underrated Derek Martin. Currently resident in Switzerland. Is that too far from Cleethorpes Ady?

  22. Your memory serve's you better than mine Mr Hunt Don't remember Mr Thorley at the 1st one. Then again would he? Remember Ady at the 2nd and Bicknell at the 3rd Like you say a great place to get off yer breast's, and we alway"s enjoyed the fact that it wasn't a strictly northern crowd Made it a more interesting night and possibly a few convert's. Believe there was some bad feeling between Tim and Dannny after the "Soul Mission" nighter and quite right too!! It would have been an anniversary night for Tim after all. Whatever happened to Mr Coghlan? He was a nice geezer Ditto Jaff
  23. Dunno but my Sandy Wynns "Love belong's to everyone" is also silver writing on black label believe this is original. Styrene You could be on a winner!
