Just to add that the Prelude pressing is, as far as I know, an early Pittsburgh 'boot' which was pressed in the 70's. The record was never originally issued on Prelude, it's a 'made up' issue. I was told that by a couple of the Pittsburgh Guys at the Allentown show. The record was a biggy in Pittsburgh and apparently was a 'Mad Mike' favourite. The way to tell the original Storm pressing from the reproduction copy is that the repro has the title (and nothing else) etched in the run-off. From the link above it also appears the record was issued on Colpix which I've never seen.

This 45 is originally issued on a 'silver top' Chess in 1954, the flip is 'Rockin' Daddy' and I can tell you it is pretty tough to find as a first press. I would put the value at about $600 - $800 if you could find one, it took me quite a few years to find my copy. It was later re-issued on a Chess 'Gold vertical' issue I think in the early 60's when the Wolf was becoming more popular. Killer 45!

I would suggest all you soul heads check out Esthers early cuts for Federal as 'Little Esther'. In particular the duet with Clyde Mcphatter 'Heart To Heart' which to my mind combines the finest two voices in Rhythm 'n' Blues. She also cut a fine ballad on Decca 'Stop Crying'. Her voice is sublime and I still shudder everytime I hear her, great stuff.

I am selling my collection of UK Ska and Reggae 45's. There are about 2,500x 45's on UK labels and most are in good shape, many mint copies. I ran labels on UK Coxsone, Ska Beat, Studio 1, Dr. Bird, Island, Blue Beat and Caltone but also have many smaller labels. If you want to fill those missing numbers this is a great chance.
