After lobbying over here we've got a leading independent cinema in Stockholm wanting to screen the film, just waiting to hear back from the distributors now..
I bought a copy from Record Mania here in Stockholm on release, thanks to Carl H for the tip, will sit nicely along with Kings of Soul in the playbox, 'How Long Must I Wait For You ' is indeed a killer, nice work Jazzman G ..
Hi Huggy, all good thanks hope you and the family are well mate. I hope Norwich's season is better the last one..I think Leicester are in for a tough rite of passage to the Premier League but hopefully we'll have enough quality to stay up..
the Keni C goes down well when it's played out so it's gone to a good home..
The JTA 45 is a very good record from the newer wave of discoveries but that auction price was mental, especially given the condition.
As Jordi said it looks like a few snipe bidders got caught up with overly ambitious limits..
Saying that Chris, if you're contemplating selling a few bits off now would seem a good time ..
So very true, without Ian and Colin Curtis the music we love today wouldn't be the same. A tough challenge ahead but people can make astonishing progress after a stroke so every best wish for a full recovery Ian.
Top stuff Niklas, great to meet you and Isabel, really nice to talk
with people who were there to enjoy the Nighter and dance..a pleasure to follow your sets mate..
It was a proper all-nighter, the dance floor was really up for it ..and yes 'Lighten Up' was the intro you heard played after Little Tommy but I think it was Larry Atkins' version Punky played..
hope Leicester get something against your boys but I'm not counting on it..
I think I've made my valuation clear lads. I understand of course that seeing a couple of vastly overpriced auctions go through is going to raise price expectations (temporarily?) so I'm happy to wait for the right price.
One was on facebook Rare Soul Sales at £200 this week and hadn't sold last time I looked which suggests that that price is also to high..
It's been an interesting debate though...
Thanks lads, it confirms my expectations on value and it's certainly one that laid unwanted in sales boxes a few years back.
It's one of those Stafford spins that sounds even better with the years hence the post. As I said a reasonable price is what I'm after but there's no hurry..
The instrumental was the side I remember from first time round Flynny..
Its certainly not a £300 record in terms of rarity, it's relativley common but popular again given its uptempo funky feel .
A couple of copies have gone for high money on ebay recentley but I missed one a few months back for $156 which I think is about right even given current popularity? Would rate it circa £100-£125 as a reasonable price from a buyers perspective?
