Had the casino only had a capacity of say,500, then I would imagine less people would have been willing to travel the long distances to Wigan if there was a risk of not getting in. The fact that it could accommodate a large crowd and thousands travelled there from all over during the 70s and early 80s meant that it did much to shape and influence the scene throughout the rest of the country.

Apparently there's a "Making Of..." been put together from behind the scenes footage. Hopefully it'll be one of the extras on the DVD / BluRay release. Now been confirmed that the Making Of will be included on the BluRay. Not sure about the DVD.

He posted about 1030 last night just before it was closed. I think he was sticking to the story that he'd bought the record years ago in good faith and thought it was genuine. Also, he had trouble refunding the money because of some missing information required by the bank.

My thoughts exactly, although the seller came on this forum and tried to defend himself. It's down to Phil whether he's happy with the guy's explanation and ultimately if he has been satisfied with the response. Doesn't look like eBay did the buyer any favours.

The film store website have changed their delivery date for the vinyl but Amazon are still showing September. I hate the Beatles.

Hope so. Box office receipts, the book, the soundtrack, dvd and bluray and future network releases for what is a low budget film. There'll probably be a bit of global interest, not just limited to the UK.

Even if I didn't know the song, I could hazard a guess at the song title after the first few bars.

On my one and only visit to the Fleet Centre in 1981, Brian Rae played Nina Simone. Later heard it at Wigan, so didn't come as a big shock.

I can only guess that the cinema release will be limited to cities and major towns, hence the DVD release only three days after the cinema release. I would personally prefer to see it first on the big screen, but would probably have to travel to do that, which I may do, although I've pre-ordered the BluRay.
