ASHTON UKRAINIAN CLUB
I've always said when a record goes into Baz's or Robbo's collection then that's it, they don't play the game like the rest of us. You'd think they'd let the odd one go, you know like pass it along to your mates for a trade, for instance James Dockery Baz. ๐ญ

For any young collector/Dj's out there, If you can go for the next 40years without having to sell or trade any of your records, then you to, can have a collection like Baz Maleedy's. ๐ And he's still at it.

Hearing Unexpected Music In Unexpected Places!
Her previously unreleased songs seem to be popular in movie soundtracks. In the 2016 film "War on everyone" starring Alexander Skarsgard & Michael Pena in one scene Chris Clark Somethings Wrong is playing.๐

Mick "Buy now pay later plan" does it best for me. Most of my own collection has been purchased in a similar way๐

Johnnie Mae Matthews - Mama's Gonna Stop You (C-U)
She's had so many friends over this side of the pond for years that I'm surprised nobody thought of releasing it here. I'm thinking Kent or Hayley could have done something with it if given the chance.

Phil, you have to be on the ball. Even at 1 minute past 9 some of the records are on reserve.

I was at Broughton Wings the night Sam first played it, he was super excited to see the dancefloor reaction to it. it fell flat, however he persevered with it and made it the Soul Sam anthem that it is now. I was at Culcheth as well when he played it to another appreciative crowd. I can't be certain but he may well have played it at Skegness but someone else played his first.๐ค

That's 1 record Julien that needs playing at most once a night, less would be better๐

CULCHETH - STOCKHOLM SOUL COMES TO TOWN
I totally agree with the reviews already posted on here. Musically top notch to a great appreciative crowd. Rarities mixed in with lesser known stuff Highlight of the night for me was when Carl blasted out Harold Melvin's "Bad Luck" mixed in between the quality rare stuff, next the doors burst open and this guy, probably on his way to the toilet from the modern room, ran onto the already busy dancefloor with that I love this record look on his face, and there's me thinking and so do I. So that's the 3rd one I've attended and each ones been better than the last. Next month it's the Grumpy takeover, as the saying goes beat that if you can.๐
