  1. Richard Searling always used the Ramsey Lewis version on his radio shows as a backing track. It's such a great song whoever records it.

  4. It's available on line, Simon sent me a link but I haven't tried it yet. I might leave it till it comes to the BBC

  6. Excellent, that's my weekend sorted.
  7. I agree, I hope there's a 2nd season pencilled in.
  8. What are you going on about. You asked the question name the sports hall that holds 1,000 people however your question had already been answered by the lady on the woman's hour programme. She said she went to see Edwin Starr at Hinckley Leisure Centre. End of. It's no big deal, you misheard her, so what. I live in the North West so there's no need for the geography lesson.
  9. You wanted to know the name of the sports hall that holds 1,000 people, Hinckley Leisure Centre is the answer. Yes it is 'Up North' from Bristol.
  10. She says it was to see Edwin Starr at Hinckley Leisure Centre.

  14. Fluorescent Smogg is one that's near impossible to find out in the wild.
  15. I watched the first 30minutes of Tina live at Arnhem 2009 last night, MOTD was on the other side. She was great, the band sounded great, the 4 female dancers were wonderful, I'll catch up on the rest of the show on BBC I Player.
  16. Hi Paul, There's one on Discogs, UK seller.
  17. I just made an observation that the records were photographed on a wooden table. I'll take your word that it's the styrene bootleg.
  18. Looking down at some of his other listed records they all look like they've been photographed on a wooden table. Even the Anderson Brothers one, so no difference there. Whether it's an original or not I have no idea but I do remember the old Nottingham pressings had a sunken centre hole and this one seems pretty flat..

  23. Maysa Leak has done quite a few cover versions of classics over the years, her version of The Bottle was a big spin in the modern rooms as was her version of Family Affair
  24. What about Junior Parkers cover version of Cracked up over you. Also the first time I visited The Highland Room, Blackpool Tony Jebb played Johnny Jones & The King Casuals Purple Haze and it sounded awesome.
