Tony Hestor On Magic City
Another "ditty" I'd never heard of in totality, (as a 12" release I mean)....Any other information on this item Paul from a purely genuine point of interest, as there are one or two tracks I've never heard of let alone heard?

Your First Northern Record You Bought,do You Still Have It
To think my first "Northern" 45 bought back in 1973/4 from one of those "cut out" racks in a newsagent in Newport would be a pre-cursor for my current collecting Habit"!.....All turned on by the San Remo strings on the legendary Ric-Tic label .....seems I was destined to find Detroit and its vinyl riches.....and so glad I did

Would Anyone Grade This Record Ex+ ? (Bought On Soul Source)
Sadly, and having purchased many records through this site over the years, without any hassle, and on the whole (apart from a couple of grading discrepancies), I'm afraid that Ivor strikes a chord with the Paypal gift issue, which naively on my part, has caught up with me courtesy of the action (or lack of it) by some unscrupulous t--- known as SS member soulful-illusion! As it stands at the moment I have totally lost faith in the whole "record thing" having taken this issue very much to heart, as again naively thought that blaggards on this site were as rare as Dodo's....... alas whilst the thread title is of concern with regard to condition and consistency, I will NEVER use paypal as gift ever again in the purchase of vinyl, preferring to pay the additional costs, and at least have a possibility of being on a level playing field if needs arise so to speak.....However whilst having lost out from a monetary perspective, the saddest part of my current situation is having my trust betrayed which unfortunately IMHO....... is worth more than either the disc or the cash involved......Sad days indeed!

Adam Bedawi Aka Soulful-Illusion-Non Receipt Of Record
Just bumping, to forewarn anyone in either sales/wants to avoid dealing with this individual, who has mugged me off for a fair sum of money I foolishly paid him via paypal gift, and has frankly left a bitter taste in the mouth, as in all the years of dealing with honest sellers on this site from various parts of the globe he now has the infamy of being the first and last to rip me off!

Adam Bedawi Aka Soulful-Illusion-Non Receipt Of Record
Apologies for being a pain, but my request for contacting said member is regarding the fact that he has failed to fulfil a transaction, namely forwarding a record after I had paid for it, and he has refused to acknowledge both my and the moderators efforts to conclude said transaction via personal message, albeit he has been logged in! Whilst I'd prefer to reach both an amicable and dignified conclusion to the matter, would appeal to anyone who knows him, (he resides in Dundee Scotland according to his profile) to give him a "heads up" ......so to speak Thanks wilxy

Detroit Wants
Sorry to disagree buddy, but as I've been quoted, Willie Mitchell has indirect Detroit connections, via Sport records for one, but moreover the Don Robey/D.Malone "enigma" throws another spanner in the works, as once again quoted produced several "mongrel/hybrid" releases with regard the Detroit/Memphis "concoctions" courtesy of Junior Parker/Bobby Bland etc......And furthermore Mr.H,s name was spelt with the E and O, (rightly/wrongly as i'm sure other individuals credited to song production etc.inevitably was) Anyway.....I'm always happy to learn as a keen Detroit enthusiast, and appreciate any information that makes me more the wiser! Kind Regards wilxy

Detroit Wants
From information gleaned from the Groovesville USA book one of her two Peacock recordings is a Tony Hestor song/production, and I'm assuming that this is the 45 with Detroit connections.....strange I know but there are many more recordings that I've found with a Detroit link.....The fascination of record collecting I suppose
