As an "avid" collector.....especially of the Detroit variety, my vinyl gets aired at least once a week for several hours, and whilst I'm always adding to my "hoard" I always finish with the same class tune, as I have done since hearing it courtesy one of Kens postings, approx two years ago.......have loved it ever since, and still plays the same trick on the back of my neck.....Easier said than done-4 Sonics-Sport ... wilxy

Hi, does anyone know where i can get a Zip wallet for 45s so you could take few sales to a night rather than taking a box, they do the same sort of thing for CDs? Thx neil Hiya Neil, I've got a U.S book style one with index but only holds 12 x 45's, probably from early 1960's, PM me if any good.....best wilxy
  4. Personally,I can echo previous sentiments expressed, moreover the live acts witnessed at Brookfields, courtesy of NCS (& co-promoters), and am sad that, your input as promoters has been curtailed.....sincere regards wilxy....
  5. Revised/Updated.......
  6. OK, then, there's either no serious Motown collectors out there, or I've probably overpriced them, more likely the latter, so just to repeat if there is anything of interest......make me an offer, either trade or cash.....other than that, I'll find some construction site and bury the blighters
  7. Hiya, The following 45's are all from the US Motown portfolio and are available for either Sale or may consider trades (or part sale/trades) for Detroit related items. All are one offs and are in ex condition unless stated otherwise.(WD =White Demo) All items over £50 will be posted special delivery,at no extra cost, whilst any items sold individually under £50 will also be post free but sent recorded. Payment either by personal cheque/paypal (or vinyl). Please PM me if interested in any item, and I am not averse to barter, either within reason! PM'd you Nev
  9. I only wish Soul Source was around when I went there, at least two more places of interest to visit in the Algarve, apart from old sardine fisheries and safaris in old jeeps looking at dried up river beds and the odd cocoa plant......sorry but not into golf or Portugal.......
  10. Like Harry previously, I have a soft spot for most labels out of Detroit......

Reallistically Winnie, and irrespective of personal opinion, you're probably right buddy. Having spent a lot of my early "twenties" (being a latecomer onto the scene @ 20) at the Casino had some brilliant and also not so brilliant times there......One thing's for certain..... I'm so glad it was part of my life, and moreover, has probably ensured longevity as a "youthful 53 year old" than a lot of people I grew up with....
  12. Come on you blighters, rub the sleep from your eyes, whilst having several offers......they've all been for the same 45........look again I ask you, or I may not sleep for a while .....wilxy (and by the way I work at a brewery and not a chemist)
  13. Thanx P.D. am aware of the UK release on Ember, but would like a US copy
  14. 15. PM'd you
  16. Superb as always Rob.......I'm just so jealous, however keep us posted mate ....top read
  17. This is genuinely depressing, when arseholes of this nature are about FFS
  18. In all fairness, being mainly interested in buying rather than selling (on the whole) have never had any problems, to date through this forum, and make allowances to gradings to a degree, and have had only one complaint of any nature to make (and privately through the PM medium) I might add to which I had no reply,( albeit I stated at the time the reasons why I wouldn't state publicly the complaints made ) I was a bit peeved to recieve no response at all, but can assure the dealer who will remain unknown....I will not buy from you again........1 from very many satisfactory and happy dealings through a superb soul source sales section!
  19. Sear-chin......for that one record you been after for ages......and Sir-Chin for the clever bugger that finds it before you
  20. Thou could find thyself on roller skates, whilst holding rear bumper if thou start talking serious bo----ks as thou has endulged in above, particularly tomorrow night as the aforementioned "miscreant" albeit not holier than thou is behind the wheel for the holy grail that is Burnley.....so I say confess your sins now Mr.Brown, and seek forgiveness
  21. Good thread Harry,as a collector since the mid seventies,my weakness has always been "pigeon holeing", (not a perversion before "I set hares running" I must add), and have been through various collecting habits whilst unfortunately for varying financial reasons not maintaining a particular trait ! Uk 45's in particular in my Yate days were my "forte" and I remember fondly the Welsh record shops I plundered especially in the valley towns, with great aplomb . I remember one of my best finds however was over the border in Gloucester, when I decimated the entire JayBoy/ President portfolio in one hit,by pure chance, and from a purely collecting perspective was well chuffed, however nowadays I must say that my weakness is US biased with particular favour being all things Detroit Michigan, however I do love those UK demos....whatever colour the "A" may be...wilxy
  22. Several recent additions to the collection, include-4 Pros-Just another girl-Carla WD Jimmy Hart-Tea house in Chinatown-Mercury WD, and September Jones-Im coming home-Kapp WD......I just wish I could stay away from the sales section on this site, and stop looking through sales boxes at venues.......not
