Red it and found it a thoroughly enjoyable book. Well documented and with many first hand witnesses. I enjoyed especially the chapter 'bout the twist craze and the feud between Hank Ballard and Chubby Checker and the ones 'bout James and the two Bobby Purifies. And the Henry Stone one also. Would recommend it also for the insights 'bout racial questions. Really good book

As an Italian I'm goin' with italian version of I'm wonderin'. It's funny to hear soul star singin' in another idiom, even if the results are kinda mixed up. In this tune, maybe the translators got some problems, 'cause there's a part that's sung in english.

Another bonus for me. One of the O' Jays best effort imho, I'm just listenin' to the album where's in. That lp has other great tracks like "Girl, don't let it get you down"

There are some of Bettye Swann outings on Atlantic that come to mind. They came out after her only record on Fame label ("I'm just living a lie") and they also were recorded at the Fame studios. They're "Victim of a foolish heart", "Today I started loving you again"and "Till I get it right" and they're all worth looking for in my opinion.
