  1. If she was getting 5000 pressed to sell in shops why would she give them white demo labels ...
  2. Why are you running two threads on the same subject ?
  3. I managed to save a couple of sets from the 6ts Cleethorpes On-line Facebook bash and am presently trying to save some more today before FB removes them. Will stick them on Mixcloud along with the rest of the 100 Club On-liners.
  4. Think it was more to do with licensing .
  5. Well the band deemed it fit to reply (after 6 weeks or so of nothing , guess they don't visit their own FB page that often ... ) Seems all is in order rights-wise as printed on the single cover. No excuse for the pointless cover version/sample though ...
  6. This might rub a few up the wrong way ... but hey everyone's entitled to an opinion ...
  7. In case anyone missed last night basement bash (no doubt stuck in Bury ... ) here are the three sets from Messers Croasdell , McGrath and Money for your listening pleasure ... https://www.mixcloud.com/Woodbutcher/100-club-on-liner-5-30th-may-2020-part-1a-ady/ https://www.mixcloud.com/Woodbutcher/100-club-on-liner-5-30th-may-2020-part-2-tomas/ https://www.mixcloud.com/Woodbutcher/100-club-on-liner-5-30th-may-2020-part-3-keith/
  8. If over the course of fifty year's involvement on the scene you've NEVER MET ANYONE who gives a toss about bootlegs being played then you've been attending events I want nothing to do with ... But you carry on and enjoy your side of things and I'll do the same on my end ...
  9. You might like to put up a list of the venues you attend ..... so that those who do care about such things might avoid them in future ....
  10. Same goes for the one's who've bid up to £238.00 on the Ch. Diamond and the Inspirations with a week to run ... !
  11. Did you catch his two hour on-line set last week , it was a real treat.
  12. @Mark Bicknell ... ?
  13. Hardly surprising you can't find it , the label is MIRACLE not Minacle ...
  14. "How very dare you, my wife won't let me have that type of breakfast" Well you hardly deserve it after posting that clip , I'm surprised she let you back in the house ...
  15. Just about to have my bacon and eggs here , thanks for being such a selfish sod and trying to re-ruin my morning ....
  16. Worst ever , without question in my mind , is something I've just had the grave misfortune to hear after a post on FB made me foolishly search for it ... I will not post a clip for fear of being hunted down and burned at the stake so you'll have to find it and judge it yourselves , and don't blame me for the foul mood it'll put you in on this fine sunny Sunday morning .... "Richie Sampson - Tears at the end of a love affair/Memories live on forever"
  17. Still can't see anything confirming Yvonne Baker ... ?
  18. Had a very similar thing on the way to Hyde one night. ( the night Barbara Acklin was on live ) The master cylinder on the Hilux had been dripping one drop of clutch fluid into the footwell every week for ages , I had a new one waiting in the glovebox but had not got round to changing it. I was going cross country for a change , A1 , Newark , Mansfield etc , just got to the outskirts of Chesterfield when the pedal shot straight to the floor ..... Bugger ... guess I'll have to do that cylinder swap now ... easy enough task on the Hi-lux ... Wasn't the master cylinder that gave out but the slave on the side of the gearbox .... ! So in the pitch black and pouring rain I just pressed on , the truck was very forgiving gearchange wise and I just got the timing right with no problems ( despite the fact that I was unknowingly trekking right through the Peak District ... had some wonderful views on the way back ) right up to the point when I had to stop at a long line of traffic at roadworks in New Mills , one thing she wouldn't do was go from a standing start with no clutch. So I parked up in front of a line of cottages , knocked on the nearest door to let them know the story , told them I'd be back to collect it tomorrow and stuck my thumb out ... Got to the nighter about an hour later , got sorted and off I went as usual , thankfully a very kind chap from Stockport ( Trev Dean ) gave me a lift to the Stockport Toyota dealership in the morning , they were open for some reason and after a lot of begging they went and collected the truck , towed it back to the workshop , fitted a repair kit for the slave , seals etc and sent me on my way. ( Told me the seal kit was a temporary fix but I ran another 90,000 miles on it ) As has said previously , sometimes common sense was left behind in the pursuit of a night out. Thankfully a tad more sensible these days , but only a tad ...
  19. Seems they all get cars as seventeenth birthday presents these days or crazy 'never-never' deals that they'll take half a lifetime to pay off , nothing like that for me ... "If you want it but can't afford it you go without until you can afford it" was how I was brought up , still live the same way all these years later , still haven't a pot to piss in but what little I do have is all mine and paid for ...
  20. From my start in '81 'til '88 when I got a motor I hitched everywhere from here in Suffolk ... Leicester , Peterborough , Stafford , London , Manchester ...
  21. Have just posted something to this end on their FB page , pretty sure it'll be ignored and removed but here's hoping for some kind of reply/reaction.
  22. The "Allergies - Felony" is appropriately titled if nothing else .... 🤬 You might want to give this a listen ......
  23. Member since 2006 ... newbie ... hardly ... but at least you've got the answer now . There are that many boots/counterfeits around that it's impossible for anyone to know all the answers , I certainly don't , nor would I claim to , even the great JM gets it wrong now and then . ( Rarely I admit. ) Even those who have good knowledge from years back get thrown now and then as 'new' boot versions are appearing on a weekly basis and then there are the myriad of single cut carvers that get passed off as proper jobbies , it's a minefield out there for sure. The fact that it was only a tenner was a good indication that it was dodgy though , there are a few real ones that get snapped up after being incorrectly identified on fleabay but they're very few and far between these days , a quick Google soon shines light on them. ( Try Discogs or 45Cat for starters. ) Stay safe up there ...
  24. Well it was very easy to tell .... seeing as the poster added scans of his 45 for us to see ... Don't want to sound harsh , but you didn't actually think that everyone else was going to do your legwork for you regarding traipsing through the site archives in search of an answer to a question that couldn't accurately be answered without seeing the actual record in question ? ...
