Had some nice steady air for a change today , allowed me to get in a bit closer to the new activity using 3x Barlow ... And just for a laugh I rotated and scaled my efforts to match the latest NASA/SDO Continuum data , none too shabby from an old boy with DSLR , 20 frames and an atmosphere to contend with ... (the Solar Dynamics Observatory sits in orbit about 36,000 Km above us ) Top half courtesy of NASA/SDO and the EVE , AIA and HMI science teams , lower half courtesy of Canon EOS 1000D , Tal 100RS 'scope , 3x Barlow , Baader ND3.8 Imaging Solar Film and OIII filter.

- Satans Breed "road Runner"jenges, Anyone Know The True Value Of This 45?
Another pointer is the flip-side , this 'new' one plays the correct track ( exactly the same recording as the "Dream Merchants" to these ears ) Master Levine claimed that his "copy" played an incorrect 'b-side' titled "Can't Pull Myself Away" https://youtu.be/6c8HuzUbZGE- Satans Breed "road Runner"jenges, Anyone Know The True Value Of This 45?

Try bending it , If it bends it's vinyl , if it snaps it's styrene ... If you think you can peel the label off it's styrene , if the labels 'moulded' into the record so you couldn't peel it off it's vinyl.- Bobby Garrett. I can't get away
All originals Styrene , all counterfeits thin flexible Vinyl , both promos and stock. Original ... "hold the 65-1037 @ 6'o'clock , @ 4'o' clock is a faint empty "ring" of an MR stamp. Boot ...."hold 65-1037-A at 6'o' clock ... follow deadwax anti-clockwise to the matrix reads jT "vocal" Ci (no dot) an encircled 8 then delta #59636. The Ci is an attempt to replicate the faint empty MR stamp on the originals. Details courtesy of Mr Manships 5th edition.- Grace love fire original
Didn't like it when it was a tenner , sure ain't improved just because it's gone silly price-wise but I guess some folk see it as a must have now ...- Grace love fire original

- Big is best,is it?
Small , dark and dingy for me ... that's why I still get drawn down to Oxford St , that and the great music on offer of course ... Only 'big' venue I ever liked was the Ritz on Whitworth St , but that's been ruined in the recent refurb so it's just very fond memories of there nowadays ...- soul people on the TV or in movies

- Interviews/Questions for Women and Northern Soul
If you compare the events guide inside the back pages of those copies of Echoes from 1976 to the events listing here on Soul Source you might pull that peak date forward 40 years ... ? But who are we to comment on such things as opposed to 'primary sources from the period' ? No doubt the finished work will be way above the heads of most that are involved in the 'scene' , either then or now , and I suspect that the vast majority will never read it either as it will likely be locked away from those without access to the select academic journals. Nevertheless I'll say good luck with the project ... - Satans Breed "road Runner"jenges, Anyone Know The True Value Of This 45?
