  1. Having an immense number of items listed on a website at a particular moment in time is one thing. Trying to find that actual physical item amongst FOUR MILLION items scattered over mutiple storage facilities is quite a task , and given that any one of them may have been ordered by multiple potential buyers over the course of the week between the sale starting and the orders starting to be processed then it's easy to see how stuff can be 'out of stock' by the time another order for said 45 is sent for picking. I doubt that many can actually visualise just what a million actually is , it's a word that's bandied about so often. If you start counting right now , 1,2,3,4 ... etc , one a second , every second , non-stop , it will take you eleven and a half days to get to that million mark , so forty-six days to get to four million. You'll all be bleating next that he has no upcoming auctions after next Wednesday.
  2. I just hope John wasn't aiming to participate in "Dry January 2025" because he's going to have a hell of a hangover come 2nd of February if he is ...
  3. Needs to be seen spinning down a WC more like ...
  4. Probably because he wasn't expecting to be swamped by quite so many whingeing vultures ...
  5. Two posts back mate ...
  6. They need to do it properly and instead of wearing headphones punters could wear virtual-reality headsets and be given a number of programs to choose from placing them in a VR venue and soundtrack of their choosing , from the Wheel through the seventies venues to the Casino then Stafford , 100 Club etc. Not sure how they'd stop bumping into each other though but perhaps some software from self-driving cars could be added. P.S. If any clever young sod makes this work I want a cut ...
  7. Not on YT but you can hear it on this Popsike entry ... https://www.popsike.com/Jazz-Mod-Inst-45-Jazz-Tribe-The-Ritual-Little-Star-VG-mp3/203319982438.html
  8. And a lot of his other items look decidedly suspect to these eyes ... ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/rockinvinyl?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l170197
  9. Looks exactly like this one that went through fleabay end of December , or is this the copy you ended up with and are now querying ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305713032688
  10. Probably "Enter Sunshine ...." you haven't missed much ...
  11. After getting it for half-price ....
  12. What a ridiculous idea , show the original french drama whilst simultaneously airing a weak and insipid rehash. I shall watch "Astrid et Raphaelle" on my usual source as I haven't entertained CH4 or CH5 for years. CH5 did the same thing by making a rehash of the marvellous "All Creatures Great and Small" , that remake was a truly awful production.
  13. No worries , I just took the capitalised 'LOT' the wrong way ... 🥰
  14. He's been inundated with unprecedented numbers of orders from all directions , from a half-price bonanza started over the holiday period , in the middle of the coldest winter snap for over a decade , I suspect John's not like the Post Office drafting in an army of minions to cover the extra workload so it's hardly surprising that orders are taking time to process. You'll just have to be patient and accept that although you can complete your order with a click of a mouse it's not like you're dealing with a robotic Amazon-like service , 45s have to be found amongst the 100,000 or so on the shelves , packed securely , labelled up , and given to the postie en mass , and then they have to rush around in appalling weather etc , etc , etc.
  15. Thanks for that , I got through the first two episodes but found my interest waning somewhat towards the end , I'm heading over to the continent right now as I was unaware it was a remake , should have known better with it being a Ch4 effort.
  16. I'm sure he had nothing better to do on Boxing Day ...
  17. No need to be so prickly Robb , I'm just throwing ideas into the pot that haven't been mentioned thus far. And there are umpteen examples of engineers marking the metalwork they've produced , not every deadwax mark is a pressing plant identifier. https://www.discogs.com/group/thread/678616
  18. Could it be a quickly and scruffily scratched 'Q' maybe ? Quality in Toronto was 'just down the road'.

  20. Really ... you must have seen for example the words "A Porky Prime Cut" scratched in the deadwax at some point in your vinyl wanderings , the trademark of the great Mr George Peckham.
  21. Another new series that I've just started and shows promise is "Patience" , a UK police drama centred on an autistic CRO worker using her abilities to help out on criminal cases , she's very much the same as the lead character in the great movie "Temple Grandin".
  22. Closest thing I can find so far is the Plastylite 'ear' mark. But that was a New Jersey outfit.
  23. There appear to be two releases on 12" (33-1/3) in '81 and '82 so there could well be. (From Discogs)
  24. The difference between M- and VG covers that ...
