In the early days going to Wigan, me and a few mates walked from macclesfield to Wigan just to go the casino ,who would do that now just for a club ,got there in the early hours ,would do it again in a heartbeat .we tried to thumb it got one lift for about 4miles out of macclesfield, then walked all the way .we would do it again in a heartbeat but would take us longer obviously, that's how strong this music genre is it just has to be done .

Can anyone tell me about acetates ,as I have one don't know where I got it from GYSPY BY DRYWELL. Are they boots and how did they come about ,any info would be OK

I have just passed my soul room and thought I would go in and play a few tunes.but this time I didn't want to play the usual 100 ns one's, so got out a few I don't really play . 1,Martha Smith,as I watch you walk away 2,soul stirrers,trying to be your friend. 3,Bobby Taylor,just a little bit closer. I think having been to quite a lot of nighters /soul doos/aldayers etc etc, from the early days to last week ,you have to be selective with your ear to the ground with a venue you like.from the days of barb heads at Wigan drifting round and yes being a dick head ,to getting chatted up by men and women who won't leave you alone ,this happened to us at Caister weekender great Yarmouth, absolute pain in the ass

This is a good post because last Saturday 18sept,me and the wife went to king power in Leicester one of fitzsoul events and we have been going for a few years now ,but not anymore for all the reasons given in the posts .from drunken people causing havoc to feeling like its a knocking shop to cop off with women or men ,so gonna call this one a day .
