  1. Used to have a demo of it, it was styrene with a ztsc stamp, I also had an identical looking one but it was vinyl & without the stamp. I think it may have been booted in styrene as well but with a scratched in matrix.
  2. Has it got the album only "ain't no big thing" on it ? Best version I've heard although there's about another 15 versions that I haven't heard.
  3. Isn't it "Showdown" - Archie Bell & the Drells
  4. Lady in green, Sam played it at a Bangor alldayer and I absolutly hated it, a year or so later I completly changed my mind & really fell in love with it. Wasnt in the best frame of mind at the time though, been a Colwyn Bay nighter that was cancelled at the last minute the night before. No ale at the dayer so i went to the corner shop, saw 4 welsh lads in front of me get served from under the counter only to be told when it was my turn that they didn't sell alcohol. I was also pretty indifferent to Yvonne Vernee & Tamala Lewis at the time but think they're fantastic now.
  5. Haven't been since the early 80's but was thinking it's about time I went again. Hope the new venue's a success hough.

    Do you know about www.soulfuldetroit.com
  8. If you want the top price & you're still going to venues take a sales box with you. When I sold mine I wasn't so I got a mate to take them out with him, he sold the best stuff pretty quick. Tim Brown had what was left of the imports & Nick Marshall had the British. I don't regret selling them cuz it payed the mortgage off & I doubt I'd be able to be collecting again now if I hadn't.
  9. Got my record today, well pleased with it I suppose I was being over cautious.

I know Jackie Shane had some US releases but I think he may have had Canadian only releases as well, at least on LP. Always wondered if he was male or female till I saw him on u tube, even then it's not obvious. Crumb
  11. It's £80 in Tim Brown's book but that's far too low, a boot went for £67 on ebay a while ago. Cheers Crumb
  12. Thanks for the advice, her paypal account is working again. I'll let you know when (if) I get the record. Cheers Crumb
  13. The seller is jrjr55, he hasn't sold anything for 6 months but the last buyer left negative feedback and called him a fraud, unfortunatly I didn't read this first, I just saw a feedback of 285, 99 per cent positive Cheers Crumb
  14. Thanks Paul & Shute. I've bought records from Belgium before & never had a problem but I am aware of their reputation, thats why I'm wary now. Cheers Cumb
  15. I bought a record from Belgium on ebay a few days ago and paid with paypal. I've just had an email from the seller saying his paypal account isn't working and can I pay it to another email address instead, for "services". He's got 98 per cent positive feedback with just 2 negative. I've cancelled the original payment, should I send one to the new address or not ? Thanks Crumb
  16. SWEET SUGAR PIE ME - THE ONE WHO REALLY LOVES YOU - SUGAR PIE DeSANTO Don't know if Mary Wells mentions herself in her version though Crumb
  17. I've just bought "I Still Love You" by Harry Deal on ebay from the US for £70 and I've had to pay £14 vat & £8 Parcelforce clearance fee. I assume this is due to the seller insuring it and having the value on the outside but I've never had to pay before, how common is this ? Is there anything I can do to avoid this if I buy an insured item again ? The seller wrote on that it was a gift but that doesn't seem to have made any difference. Thanks Crumb
  18. The multi coloured reissue seems to go for as much as the original. Crumb
  19. Should have emailed him myself but I thought he might correct it & I'd have to pay more    Crumb
  20. They all have, it's "My Love Is Gone" that I'm not sure about Cheers Crumb
  21. One's just sold on ebay & according to the seller the B side was called Lost Love, looks like this was a mistake on his part. I'd have bid a bit higher if I'd known. Thanks Crumb
  22. The Shadows on USA - No Other Love / My Love Is Gone. The demo seems to have a different B side, Lost Love, or is this My Love Is Gone under a different title ? Thanks Crumb
