  3. Interesting that The Originals 45 is on a black and silver version when my demo of the 12 inch was the Motown only label. This came out October 76 when they dropped the Tamla name and changed the design of the label
  4. Send him back was played in 74 at Wigan I sold my demo that year.
  5. As far as I know it was a uk only release. Came out as a single first on Mowest in 73 MW3009 seem to remember it being played at Wigan even though it was a new release, although I could be wrong. My old friend John Clement has a better memory than me. Thelma Houston I ain't going nowhere was played at Wigan as an album track and that was a current release.

  19. My daughter's school is laden with Gola type school bags with "Northern Soul" clenched fist logos on them. It has become a bit of a must have fashion item but I don't think there is any connection between them and the northern soul scene.

  24. I have three Motown albums issued by the BBC featuring different artists. Last Sunday Richard Searling played the Detroit Spinners - "What more could a boy ask for", a different version, off one of these albums. Incidentally, not one of the three I have. After the show I went through my three to check if there were any different versions on them and lo and behold "Brenda Holloway - Just look what you've done" is different to the 45. My question is: Does anyone know how many of these BBC Motown albums there are? seems they came out around 1986/87 and I now want the one featuring the Spinners. Kev
