Hi Bearsy,I am currently playing a few tunes purchased from Mark Dobson that IMHO are superb.........When I find that I CANNOT find new tunes to me,which will take me to my collecting grave, I will nearly call it a day...How can anyone into "OUR" music not want to appreciate the efforts of true soul ARTISTS.....ATB Steve

If "you" have heard all there is to hear,please contact me ........'cos I reckon I still have a few "new to me"tunes to hear. BUT I Do prefer 60s tunes albeit I like quality soul from any era...........I'm still only 53 at the moment.........ATB Steve erm just wanna hear .....new 60s

  8. Just had the Oxford Dictionary out. Sixteenth century (give or take a year) Soul description equates to a Man (not woman) having Soul....... Anyway Soul with regard to our chosen style of tune BEFORE northern was coined by the Great Dave Godin was attributed for the first time by whom....the truly first "SOUL" record/Release Gotta be in the USA anyway or not ?ATB Steve
