  9. "will get to vivos on the 11th so youll get an extra two through the door that nite. wayne" I'd just like to point out that Solid Hit Soul on 11th is run by Gene Robertson and not by SITC, although Dave and Martin DJ there too. Music policy is different too. If you want oldies you might want to refer to Gene's post about the new night. Paul

Used to get the odd bit of good clapping at TOS albeit by much smaller numbers, what a pity that it'll soon be no more. I can only make the last 1/2 hour of the last one due to DJing at Hidden Secrets mores the pity. Paul SITC

In the past year, especially on Ebay there have been untold thousands of records in like new condition. I personally, only very rarely bid on or buy anything that isn't described as M-, except from a few selected dealers I have come to know and trust. After all in almost any collecting world condition is paramount. Nothing worse than a long time want finally arriving through your letter box, only to look as though it's been run over by a steamroller. Just a tip, it's worth giving new arrivals a wipe with a soft cloth (J cloth)with some washing up liquid and warm water, drying off with a kitchen towel to enhance your aural experience. Paul SITC
  19. Dunno Pete, listed at £30 with the sleeve in JM. Paul SITC

  21. Someone on the Bay sold lots of vintage mint pieces of Motown sheet music last year from an ex-employees estate and the prices achieved were phenomenal! Over £100 for some of them, so I think the answer to your question is a resounding YES! Paul SITC
  22. I Djed in Stockholm at the Wiman Casino in October and had a marvellous time. A much younger crowd there, lots of mods and an open minded attitude to the music. Quite a lot of records seemed unknown to a lot of the crowd eg Voices of East Harlem, but everyone seemed to know the Pentagons "I'm gonna wait for you" and danced accordingly. Paul SITC
  23. It was also on a BBC Radioplay LP as a slightly alternate take. Paul SITC
  24. My first local was the Wheatsheaf in London's Kings Road with Terry Davis the DJ c. 1971, friends like Keith Hammond who introduced me to the whole Northern thing having met him at a Four Tops concert in Streatham SW London. Tony Ellis, John Clarke etc. Moved on to the venue mentioned by Dave G above.
