  1. That went quick. Not surprised. Crackin' price. Crackin' tune. Is it rarer on Chess than Alteen? I think it might be?
  2. -marie knight - who rolled the stone (decca) Also on a UK Brunswick Ep
  3. Re: 9001 The Blue Nighthawks Orchestra - "Two people in love/I want to do it" I also have this as; 9001 The Blue Nighthawks Orchestra - "Two people in love/I want to flop" Anybody shed any light on this anomaly?
  4. What're yer like!!!
  5. Can anybody shed any light on the following; Mattie Jackson and the Blues Knighthawks Orchestra - I Want To Do It - Duplex 9001 Mattie Jackson and the Blues Knighthawks Orchestra - I Want To Flop - Duplex 9001 It's exactly the same record, with exactly the same B-side - Two People In Love - except for the different titles on the A-side.
  6. Sorry, I feel I should know this already BUT what's the difference between Bobbettes - Mr. Johnny Q on End and Bobbettes - Mr. Johnny Q on Gone?
  7. You're gonna be in for a treat when you hear this one; 22. In The End - Nancy Wilcox Awesome!!!
  8. Sounds like something off Blue Peter
  9. It was their second release on the label in 1962. Not much else to say about it really. Haven't heard it for a while. Must dig it out at the weekend for a reminder. As to value? Well, you used to see copies of it everywhere years ago but not so much now. Have you tried looking on Gemm to see if it's there and to get an idea of what other people might be selling it for?
  10. Looking to trade Billy Emerson - I'll Get To You, Too - Chess, for Bobby Mitchell - Well, I Done Got Over It - Sho-Biz Please PM me
  11. Please PM me
  12. I see it now Chalky, thanks. Doesn't look too bad does it. I can live with that. Cheers.
  13. That's what I thought. Just didn't believe it. Need to see one to believe it.
  14. Anybody got a picture of one of these 'Dust Covers'?
  15. Via a good friend in St.Helens, I have secured copies of the following Roger Eagle cassette tapes; Soul Dinner This Man's Crazy Booker T & The MG's 'Untitled' I'm still on the look out for more. Can anybody else help? I'm also looking for unwanted copies of 'Sailor's Delight'. Anybody???
  16. Mine's on Hiback too. And £200 doesn't sound unreasonable when you consider it's a known record that in recent times has proven very difficult to track down. Will be interesting to see how well the seller does with the one currently up for grabs on eBay, having a starting bid of just under 500 US Dollars.
  17. Wow, I see what you mean. Having said that, I don't know what it's actually worth, sorry. Looks like the last one to sell went for £500!!! By the way, which one is the first release, Hirich or Hiback?
  18. Fcuk me, that's the best amateur video of a live stage act I've ever seen. And what was up with the audience? They all look gob smacked. Didn't they know how to dance. Christ, at 16 years old I'd have been bopping me head off at that performance had I been there. Fantastic stuff.
  19. I've already had a very informative response from Tony, who has been reliably informed the same as what brivinyl said. But like I said to Tony, I'm keeping one eye open just in case.
  20. Just wondering if anybody out there can tell me if they have, or have ever seen, a copy of Doc Bagby's - Dumplins / Sylvia's Callin' on a 7" 45, as opposed to a 10" 78?
  21. Agreed. It was Mace that played it down the phone to me.
  22. I think the 'boots' were put out with the family's permission, so does that make them legit? That's all I know. Liam? Best of it is, I didn't even rate this record when I first heard it down the phone but it sure did grow on me. A collectors item. Superb.
  23. Does anybody REALLY know what's happened with this record? I can't believe it went for just £510. If it has, then that bidder is one lucky individual.
  24. Thanks for the thought Brian but there's no way Phil will let me have his copy, it's Yvonne's favourite record and now his. In fact, the first time I ever heard it was when he played it as the last record played at No Way Out a couple a few weeks back.
