  1. I've got a list of quips & japes here as long as my arm but I just can't be arsed btw the McDonald McMecca Burger was the best. Think we're annoyed cos they haven't had the hardship of setting off a day before via Train, Bus or stolen/borrowed vehicle of some description to reach a venue & then think of getting home someway, somehow, so don't really live it as we did, plus the fact we hate getting old. I've just sat through it with sharp intakes of breath & peeks through interlaced fingers and all I can say is TF for Tommy Hunt, some of you should know better, WTF was Bez doing dancing (Happy Mondays),why didn't Sammy fall over and make a proper tit of himself and how can you be a World Champion when only one Country enters, only USA can do that. Take care, Be safe & remember, " Oh Lord what's happened to your people", Spot. p.s. Is there anything Matt Baker dislikes? Watch him on any show, "I love it", "I've wanted to do that all my life".
  2. Bloody better than Marc Arsemond's version.
  3. Now Scal that was a vest of immense National importance & stains, it was in more episodes than Dennis Tanner. Spot. p.s. Stevie what does the song say, "Art for Arts sake, Money for Gods sake,Money talks so listen to it". Switch Money with Fame or Fashion & you've got most of the new influx.
  4. What a fabulous tune, in my top 3. Spot.

  17. He's the Shaman of Soul & drives a hairdressers car, it's been said he once smiled but most say it was trapped wind, to me he came into his own once he dropped that Sundance & he's even too cool for Ray Davies who, seeks him here, seeks him there, cos he's a dedicated follower of fashion & the Move saw him, sat watching flowers in the rain, feeling the power of the rain making the garden grow, other than that he's a normal everyday fella who loves Music. Spot. btw. He's a real nice guy as well as an excellent Jock but don't tell him, he'll just get all above his station.
  18. Just watch it on You Tube at the Airport, without any sound as I'm in the Business Lounge, thank God I'm getting on a plane and will miss all the shrapnel flying about, it'll be a great memory for those on the night and good on em. Nice of nstomp97 (?) to call us Barstewards, that will endear all the young guns to us old gits, hope their love of it runs like ours for the next 40 years. Now where's that departure gate? Spot.
  19. Temptations - I wish it would rain, Since I lost my Baby, Your my everything, Don't look back plus David Ruffin - My whole world ended & of course the Four Tops - Just ask the lonely, they always tug at the hearts strings & bring a glaze to the eyes, oh God someone give me a hug quick. Spot.
  20. Gail called him Tony Telephone because he always had his phone out texting or messing, he was out & about every week & I'm glad we knew him, a good laugh & an ace piss taker, as well as a gent, he'll be sadly missed. R.I.P. Tony. Spot & Gail.
  21. You can actually buy it on DVD, I only paid a couple of quid for mine & regularly watch it, Leon who plays David Ruffin is Excellent in it. Spot.
  22. Yes we were there as well, the video doesn't do it justice, the atmosphere was electric, the Motown people had no idea who he was but they soon entered into the spirit & there wasn't a dry eye in the house, almost as good was when we all insisted The Capitals sing "Cool Jerk" & they said only if we sang along, even Mel Britt came to the stage & joined in, as you say the Del-Larks in New York runs a close second, mainly because it was my Brother in laws 50th and they sang Happy Birthday to him, wonderful memories, lots more tucked away.
