  1. Yes but it's short and sweet, cos we're knackered after 2 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Why doubt him Macca? The guys only recanting his experience of a night out with sociable and friendly people of the Soul Scene. Jim I'm afraid we meet knobheads in all walks of life (Even had em at Lifeline & Boomerang, infact most venues) and last weekend was your turn, usually their just a nuisance, like that last fly in the room you can't quiet see but keeps buzzing past your lug. As Mr Bird said, b*llox to spoiling other peoples night, he'd spoilt yours obviously, I had mine spoilt when some toe rag nicked my Baracuta Jacket and I'd have willing made a scene had I caught them. I'm afraid at the moment NS is the new Black, the Mini Skirt and Ben Sherman for the 21st Century and we'll have to deal with it until Punk makes a comeback. I think I might have put this on the Stoke Event thread also, just for the Promoters benefit. Spot.
  3. Just buy a Wand copy, no worries then.
  4. A real Yum Yums? I can only see an AJR repro.

  7. They are so bright because we are all so blind, Cataracts you know for us old dodgers and Neil I agree sometimes the music's to loud but that's to be heard over the constant whistling of hearing aids!!!! Who said that? I didn't see!! Spot.

  9. You want to get yourself a Willie Dale, now there's a tune, knew it would be loved when I heard it a couple of years ago.
  10. Please post it up, I'm sure we'd all love to see it.
  11. MrsW I was speaking about our/my small group of reprobates and vagabonds not the mass of unwashed youth who loved NS. No it wasn't all dross, there was some excellent stuff discovered and played but we lived right over t'hill in God's County so when Mecca went a bit Studio 54 and Wigan went a bit Rolf Harris Stylophone and tunes from His Masters Voice reject bin, it wasn't worth the full day travel when we could go Cleggy, Samanthas or St. Ives, all on our doorstep or M1 corridor. The only reason you could make a list as long as an Andrex Puppy roll is the fact of the Casino's longevity, remember most places were shutdown by the Law or Local Council before year 3 came around, however the Casino had no drug problem or a single arrest from day one to the last note on the last, then next last, oh and the very last of all time and eternity, Russ stated that categorically!! Spot.
  12. Bloody hell Macca was they that far apart? Seems like I missed some of the 70's altogether then. I've checked Pye was 74 and This England 77 but you know what I mean, I think? It was mainly business for the main protagonists and there were still lots of decent music played but more and more dross, although at the time I'm sure due to other influences it all seemed good, hindsight's a wonderful thing, as they say. Spot.
  13. Not to different, after the Camera's arrived that's when the decline started, Pye saw an opportunity as did SS before them and after, it was business and RW played along, up until then it was brilliant and electric and I relish those days but it was the Mecca, Cleethorpes, St. Ives and places like Unity Hall that kept us interested not Joe 90 or Men from Uncle. Spot.
  14. Now I remember why we stopped going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ouch, Mummy it hurts.
  15. Ian do you mean Total Eclipse - 6 O'Clock?
  16. I know what you mean Steve but lets not forget, 2 million people reckon they went/ were members of Wigan Casino but I think some might be fibbing. Spot.

  19. Russ says it's not true.
  20. Yes but it means on Planes you get served first and an extra large tray full of food, so method in his madness.
  21. Kev I'm sure you did, could and have.
  22. Now that does sound interesting!!!!
  23. So really you just loaned him it Pete but interest free, of course. Spot.
  24. I think the Green Vinyl Salvadores is hard to come by, I got mine (As a Original) from Mr Koppell, gave it to Snowy along with a clear Vinyl Album with, I think but don't quote me, 3 versions of Gloria Jones - Tainted Love on one side and about 10 or 12 RCA tunes on the other, including Willie Hutch, Lorraine Chandler etc but it was a while ago and I am ageing rapidly so I could be wrong, he still has em so he could tell ya better.I need a lay down now after trying to remember that. Spot. p.s. By the way Martin you still owe me a £12 refund on that, you naughty boy and a fellow Goolie.
  25. Excellent, that's some plaster down hair, looks like he's stapled it to his head and who said 60's style was cool? Bet the dancers cringe when they see this, if they're still around but absolutely wonderful, now where's me Grandad shirt & Brylcreem?
