  1. Just a small query Kev It has come to light that "You Don't Love Me" charted in July 1967 in both Detroit and Cleveland It has been suggested that it may be memory or a typo that this article says released early 1968 or perhaps the Demos were out and being played and the Issues were pressed much later, but thought would throw into the mix for anorak and histories sake if you can confirm please. Discussion is here on link below on Manships recent auction starting down the page The Yank
  2. I apologise for not making myself clear. In Kev Robert's article (Copyright Robert Paladino 2010) it states early 1968 release date, under the 2nd picture of the group, which makes no sense to me unless the sun here in Blackpool is frying my brain Perhaps Demos 1967 and issues early 1968
  3. I thought it was earlier than the end of 1967 as per some stuff I have read, unless I have read it wrong (again)
  4. Discogs has a quote on the Demo stating that the Demo is 10x rare then the Dubious issue. Can someone shed some light on that comment please ?
  5. I was chuffed when I found this cutting
  6. Never seen one other than blue push out
  7. And another Demo
  8. Boot ? Issues both on Plastic and Speciality Products
  9. That is actually worse than some of the expensive stuff as it 1450% dearer than it should be
  10. It's on his facebook page and was announced yesterday by his niece https://www.facebook.com/al.kent.7773 (I don't think you need to be on facebook to read it) RIP Sir TFTM My youth and still love it
  11. Here you go guys from local paper. Uptights ?
  12. I have spent a lifetime seeing obvious things that others didn’t see and others have spent a lifetime seeing obvious things I never saw. 😀
  13. It would be nice for someone who owns them to let us have the matrix images for each label and that will prove it I see a Swedish Discographer has added the other label on Discogs
  14. It appears Dave's book has now been shipped in numbers to the states (there seems to be a lot of boxes) perhaps Val can sell some for you 😀
  15. Probs another find in Bradford Market 😀
  16. I don't know that at all, as I assumed different records "could" be pressed in different batches and numbers and maybe at different plants and possibly at different times. Another run with different labels (I don't see why it would have been altered) possibly would make one of them (I agree we don't know which one yet was the chicken or the egg) a repress if within 18 months and any later a re-issue. What intrigues me is that the record is very rare and yet 2 different label designs were used and I thought I would ask, as it seems to me that it may be a little more common than I thought, or perhaps just a small batch of each.
  17. Does it imply that one is a repress though, with the label being different ? 😀
  18. Would be nice to know if it was a different pressing plant (surely not a re-issue ?) and very very well spotted Wonder what the matrix details are on both versions to compare ?
  19. Funnily enough they do sell snides at the boot sales 😇
  20. It was rainy here on the coast yesterday and we still ventured out to one of our local Car Boot sales as per usual We had run out of blades for our shaver and my wife shouted me over to a stall where a lady had one for packet for sale £6 I noticed 3 records on her table and the bottom one was on Deram She announced that she had another packet of blades and I asked her if she would do both for £10 "Not a chance" she said but of you want the record I will let you have it included in the price Not bad eh........result, oh and plays perfect
  21. I remember speaking to Keith Rylett and how the Jerry O book was an absolute nightmare to prepare I came across the papered over recording his label (Assuming) Then there is the label underneath (before the were stuck on) Tom (duo) is supposed to be Tommy Dark (Robert Tharpe) and I am hoping no reason to doubt https://alt.obituaries.narkive.com/14S7pEoi/robert-tharpe-72-half-of-tom-jerrio-duo-who-recorded-the-novelty-hit-boo-ga-loo Please can we shed more light on the writer and producer Tom Moers (Thomas Moers) Is there any reason that history is incorrect/correct and the Tom could really the writer and producer and not was has been written or is it just my imagination and coincidence
