Any Info On Stomp Town Records N.y
I am new to this site and was doing some searching around and Duke and Leonard are in fact Jimmie Duke and Leonard Smith "You've Lost Your Soul" I wonder if Jimmie Duke is an alias of Duke Mckenzie Denmara Enterprises Inc. February 9th 1968

Great stuff 😀 Can you just clarify the first recording details ABC 45-11026 as the implication is that Rita and/or Lynn were not vocalists which has confused my small brain

Chuck Holiday Just Can't Trust Nobody . . What Year Was This Released?
Sorry Chalky....... so the "gold" ones only came about in the late 1990's (I bought one off Ebay when there were loads of them) and there wasn't one in the 1970's as suggested.....is that correct ? I have looked at other threads and it's very confusing and the implication was that there were 2 gold ones

It's up to you, but she deserves to be recognised for her work IMHO. After all Richard has been recognised for his, hasn't he ?- deena johnson
Thought would take this opportunity to post Brad's story here, hope you don't mind https://www.jango.com/music/Brad+Lundy/_full_bio- Holly St James - her career beginnings
It's amazing how many artists still have no profiles, but I guess as they were sometimes ignored in the USA and generally played in the UK so that we are the ones who mainly bother to find out or at least ask the questions (rather than just how much is the plastic worth !!!) I did that with Carol Anderson to name one of a few- deena johnson
I think about £100- Holly St James - her career beginnings
This is weird, as I was looking over the weekend at the "lack" of info (same minds eh) The only thing I could find was "white female who was born in the Philly suburbs in the late 40s". At one stage I thought she could be Lorraine Le Fevre of Jan & Lorraine who recorded on ABC, but according to those sources they hailed from Detroit so another dead end I would love to know 😁- Was Me-O Records a Detroit label?
The DJ copy was here which is the thread, I think, mentioned earlier- Was Me-O Records a Detroit label?
https://www.45cat.com/artist/george-hammonds-and-the-starvells Soundclip available Robb, I don't own one- Was Me-O Records a Detroit label?
Not that I have ever seen https://www.discogs.com/label/724670-Me-O-Records- Was Me-O Records a Detroit label?
This Perfections were certainly different Robb as they are all ladies/girls here is the A side 11th May 1965 All 3 release I know of on Pam-O have John Woodson (Johnny Woodson of The Crescendos ?) all over them, so maybe Romeo and he were connected in some way- Milton And Winston - You Lied / Fallstaff
I apologise as this thread is old but has anyone any idea about the artists, as I think the pricing issue has been well covered 😀- Weldon A Mcdougall III - Artist of the Week
- Was Me-O Records a Detroit label?
I am sorry, but I am new to this site and thought would review this thread and it's potential results I did find out that the first (I think) release on the Me-O label was this one 15th November 1965 Rocarmeo Music 624 West 41st Drive, Los Angeles I did wonder if there was a connection with Pam-O records- Stax Museum Memphis, TN - Favour Please!
Was it this one https://fineartamerica.com/featured/staxtacular-night-stephen-stookey.html?product=coffee-mug- Quadrophenia and Northern Soul 1979
Nice article Northern Soul and Mods https://www.itsamodthing.com/blog/northern-soul-and-its-relation-to-the-mod-scene/- Clay McMurray RIP

I was not a member of this site until recently so thought would add some info 4 years on I found a stickered copy of Chuck's next record dated 1975 so I am guessing same year or slightly earlier which also implies that this was release was a couple of years before the Four Voices which I believe was 1977 Did we ever know who Chuck was ? I know he partnered Timmy Shaw through Johnnie Mae Matthews on Big Hit- Sunlovers - never make the grade
The Buddy Connor/Conner was released twice Orange 1003 (same track both sides B dose Instrumental) and Red 1004 (Mind Of Your Own B Side) I have seen them as 1970 and 1971 respectively There's a good thread here but no dates (and takes us into the Nightmare of California Gold label too)(when I say Nightmare I mean great stuff as this thread just keeps giving and giving info)- Sunlovers - never make the grade
That was my theory earlier or maybe Joey's wife (Latrail Jefferson) said the labels were a bit plain and changed them (my wife does it with our curtains every 3 months) - Holly St James - her career beginnings
